Twice now when I've called to inquire about parts the person on the phone won't even let me finish talking before telling me they don't have it and to go somewhere else. They don't even pretend to be interested or seem to even care about assisting

John and Nic are pros - they know the industry inside and out. We had a difficult renovation and could rely on Fireplace by Design for advice and counsel at every step, even providing information to contractors hired to handle other aspects of the job. No matter our question or problem, the response we received was a SOLUTION, never a it cant be done, and the solutions given were based on years of experience and knowledge. The work was done with competence and skill, and was completed quickly and cleanly. We could not be happier with our outcome. Thank you John and Nic!

Love my wood stove insert. The owner and installers answered all my questions, and gave me a run down of the unit. Very clean install and did whatever it took to keep the house clean. I will definitely be back to this store.

We're sorry you're dissatisfied with the current lead time for the stove you were interested in. That stove is back ordered at the manufacturer. Current delivery dates for that unit are close to two months out. This usually is not the case. The pandemic has created supply chain interruptions in unexpected ways for everyone. We always want to be realistic about delays upfront rather than disappoint anyone later.

I walked in ready to made a significant upgrade to my home, and walked out after basically being told, " we don't need your business for two months." I was made to feel like I was inconveniencing them by merely wanting to made a purchase from them. This will never happen now. I recommend you do not either. I didn't have an issue with the lead time. Having already spoken with Claxton (whose business model you would do well to emulate), I knew there was going to be a wait. COVID has effected everyone. What I did not expect was your dismissive attitude. It was like pulling teeth to get any answers regarding a potential future purchase . Nor was I pleased by your attitude that I was wasting your time with these inquiries. Perhaps my appearance was not stereotypically "Millard," but was not appreciative of your intimation that i would not be able to afford your products. I shall not be doing business with your company now or in the future. I shall also recommend my neighbors (in the country club neighborhood of Omaha) to avoid your company also.
