Will not be going back after a very unpleasant visit today. The dentist I saw was arrogant and disrespectful, and rudely dismissed almost everything I said without bothering to ask any questions to further understand my concerns. The atmosphere in the room was very hostile which honestly made me believe he could not have had my best interest at heart.

Bow Lane Dental is the best Dental practice I've ever visited. As Americans new to London, my wife and I didn't know where to start when looking for a Dentist. We decided to give Bow Lane Dental a try after reading some expat community forums, and we couldn't be happier with the service. Bow Lane is professional, punctual (neither of us have ever experienced a delay past our appointment time), and extremely high quality in the dental care they provide. We had some significant work to be done between the two of us and found that the dentists and hygienists were very gentle and cognizant of pain management. More importantly, their recommended treatments have worked exceptionally well -- since starting my treatment regimen I no longer experience any bleeding when I brush my teeth each night! I could not recommend this practice more highly.

I had a cleaning with Renate last March. Renate is very accomodating and given me loads of education how to clean my teeth properly. She is also very gentle and explains thoroughly the process.

Honestly the worst dental practice I've been to. I had an appointment at 2:15pm to see a root canal specialist and I was running late, I called to let them know this and they told me that it's fine. After arriving, the receptionist was so rude and told me that because I was running late that I may have to wait more than an hour now or that I won't be able to be seen today which is crazy to me considering over the phone the same receptionist said that it was fine that I was running late. On top of that, the specialist came down straight away to take me in for an examination and she was rushing my appointment the whole time. The whole time I was in there she barely checked my mouth and teeth properly and it lasted for a total of under 15 minutes when the appointment was for 30 minutes. Not only did she rush and cut the appointment short but she also only took an x-ray and tapped a few of my teeth with a cold test which I have had done many times with regular dentists so this was no different to pay 150 for a root canal specialist. After complaining via email that the receptionist was rude and that I might not get seen, I also complained that they could have simply called me back to let me know they won't have time to see me for the full 30 minutes. Instead they waited for me to come all the way down and then tell me I might not be seen or it would only be a 10 minute appointment. The manager only 'apologised' after replying to my email and of course this was even more unacceptable considering a customer is complaining about your staff and service and you can only say sorry? In the end after complaining till they understood what the issue was they offered a full refund. I will never come back and I have told everyone else to avoid this practice including writing this review. They aren't as friendly as people make them out to see. Also overpriced for such a basic examination.
