Absolutely horrible experience. Would not recommend. Not only did she take more than 10s of thousands of dollars from me and my family but did not finish any of our dresses. If there was no stars, I would do it. I had a wedding with two traditional events leading up to it in March. A week and a half before my event everything was going well and when she realised she couldnt finish the work, hired an administrator to deal with us and she cut off all communication. She blames the dresses not fitting as all of us putting on weight, even though she explicitly told me that I had lost weight in the last fitting. And that we didnt know how to zip dresses. Even though they were on track and fitting in the fitting a week and a half prior. Apparently we can all grow in size by over 10cm each. Stitching undone, sleeves undone. I had pullover fleece lining in one of my dresses. 75% of the money for our dresses had been paid for, she refused to spend any more time on the dresses and we had to decide between paying the final amount and going elsewhere to fix our dresses or her keeping tens of thousands of dollars. Would not compensate us for the money spent on alterations. 2 of my dresses for my wedding were unfixable and no alterations or designer would touch them saying it would cost more to fix than what was paid for it (almost 3k each) Has refused to give money back for anything and has said it is not her fault She made my wedding and formal events a living hell. I was forced to buy new dresses for my traditional event in the 2-3 days before it because of her scam

Worst experience I have ever been through. I have made dresses at several designers and have never seen such unprofessionalism, poor workmanship, lack of integrity or talent. Holly had over 12 months to make my gowns for my daughters pre-wedding traditional party and mother of the bride dress and she still delivered horrific results. The dress was unfinished, poorly made and with all the wrong cuts and materials. As you can see in the photos provided, the gown did not fit, my bodice/sleeves were not attached to the top of the dress, the stitching was coming apart, buttons did not work, hem not complete and the lace was coming apart throughout the bodice of the dress. The dresses could not be worn! Not only were the dresses incomplete, Holly did not tell me they wouldnt be until a few days before the event AND she REFUSED to see me in person to discuss the state of the dresses. She had no problem taking FULL PAYMENT and leaving me in a complete mess. She also sent someone in her place to deal with me to collect payment and not justify her lack of work. What should have been the lead up to the happiest times, after multiple wedding date cancellations due to COVID (which only gave her more time to work on the gowns as she worked from home)- I was left stressed, in tears and in desperate need of help. I had one of my dresses completed ripped apart and put back together by another designer who was utterly shocked by the workmanship of the dress. If you are considering going to her- save yourself time, money and HEARTACHE. If I could turn back time, Id have better luck trying through an unknown overseas supplier on ebay. Disgusting! Again, unprofessional, no talent and no morals. I seriously dont understand how she runs her business. One star is too many.

You are such a beautiful soul. It was truely humbling working with you to create your dream wedding gown. Seeing you on your wedding day, was one of my proudest moments, not just as a designer but also as someone who simply loves what they do. Holly Butler; a dream maker and fairy godmother who is truly beautiful inside and out. I first met with Holly in 2019 to bring my dream dress to life. She caught my eye initially for her eye for dreamy, tulle, romantic heaven and it is exactly what I envisaged for myself (and could not find in a bridal store). From her very first email correspondence with an attached sketch which brought tears to my eyes, and then our first meeting where I instantly knew she had to be the one to make my dress. A blue dream, with an off the shoulder bodice and two skirts; one fuller skirt, and a more simple skirt with a split to dance the night away. I loved getting to change skirts but not have a completely different dress all together and this idea was inspired all by her. Holly was truly amazing to work with. Not having a creative bone in my body it was hard at times to know how the dress would be, but Holly helped to answer my questions and ease any worries or ideas that I had. I always wanted my Cinderella moment and it's because of Holly I have that forever; glass slippers and all. Some of the best advice Holly gave me in my last fitting was to enjoy it and not worry; that I only had one day in it so on the day it's exactly what I did. I didn't worry about people standing on it, I ran through grass, bushes, jumped into my husbands arms and floated all day, enjoying and embracing every single moment. To you Holly if you ever read this; thank you from the bottom of my heart. For your kindness, talent, support and radiant personality. I am so glad I found you; there really was no one else that could bring this to life the way you did. You were my fairy godmother, and I know any bride that chooses you will feel the magic that you so beautifully create. Christie-lee x
