This place used to be great. Low prices, good assortment of products and friendly reliable staff. Now it must be under new ownership or management and they could care less about their products or staff or long-term customers. Prices on things I buy regularly have doubled and now are more expensive than what I can pay at Home Depot or Amazon.com with shipping! Thinking about placing a special order there? Forget about it. They will never call you to say your order came in. They will put it on the shelf and sell your specially ordered items to any walk-ins. I miss the people that used to run the place. I shopped there today for the LAST time. Never again. Not worth it. I imagine this store will soon go under and become another gas station convenience store. What a shame, because they have been there for nearly 100 years. Bye Big Value.

Great selection! Knowledgeable, helpful and friendly staff! Update 5/2021. They have an aphid infestation! Inspect your plant before buying it! They are very flippant about these issues saying "it happens" instead of helping you choose a healthy plant. I've always loved this place but I need to replace the geraniums I bought there that died from the poison I used to kill the aphids and I'm afraid to go there right now. I know I won't find a better selection of colors anywhere else and have brought home sick plants from Walmart, too. I have very mixed emotions on what to do. If anyone reading this knows of another garden center in Daytona, please let me know! I've been a loyal customer for over 10 years but my last 2 visits have been awful! CW, owner I think didn't even punch my loyalty card. She just initialed it! I clearly offended her by saying I have had issues with sick plants lately, wanting advice, not attitude!

This is my absolute favorite plant shop in all of Central Florida (and that's including all of Orlando). Their prices are incredibly reasonable and they always have the most beautiful house plants in stock with something new each time I go. The staff are all very knowledgeable and willing to help. I'd highly recommend stopping by!

So I just worked part of a shift at bvgc. I was told $12 an hour was totally fine in my interview, I signed paperwork with that wage on it. I was told to show up the next day for a full shift of long, hard work in the FL sun. I was totally fine with that for the pay I'd already been told was ok. 2 hours into my first day and I'm told "woopsy we only pay minimum wage, is that ok?" So I cut my losses and didn't waste any more time there. Fast-forward to picking up my paycheck for that day and I have to listen to the owner berate me like she didn't waste my time with her lies. Anyway the plants are overpriced buy them online like they do
