While the staff was helpful on the phone I ended up not getting cake from here. Asked for a 10 in round cake with two layers. Looking for strawberry cake with chocolate frosting and strawberries in between. Nothing fancy and simple considering strawberries are in season. I asked for no decoration other than to say Happy Birthday. They quoted me over $100 for a cake I could get similarly for $30, or make myself if I had more time. Oh and there was no rush charge on this cake. I am sure their cakes taste wonderful, but that is a large amount of money for such a simple cake. I was very disappointed as I prefer to shop local versus a big box.

Midtown Cakes is absolutely wonderful! We ordered our wedding cake from Midtown and we were extremely satisfied from start to finish. Tanya goes above and beyond to create your dream cake! The cake was exactly what we wanted and had exceptional taste! Tanya is professional, reliable, and so talented at what she does! We are grateful for Midtown Cakes.

I had an event back in May 2017 they delivered for me which was great I ordered the snicker bar cupcakes a dozen as well as the banana caramel these were to die for. I got so many complaints o. The cupcakes. I'm having another event and I would definitely order again. You will not be disappointed.

Absolutely hated my experience with this business. We ordered a Seattle Seahawks cake for my son's fourth birthday party. The kid is obsessed with the Seahawks. Anyway, we emailed one of the representatives a picture of exactly what we wanted for the cake. We got a confirmation on what we wanted. We were quoted $100, we put a $50 deposit down on the cake. I showed up to pick up the cake and received a small little cake that was no where near what we wanted or what we were quoted. When confronted about how terrible the cake was, the workers kept me waiting for 20min while they tried to look up the emails to find out who was to blame for the crappy cake. One of the co-owners came out of the back and argued with me over my expectations of the cake. She refused to make it right or to fix the cake or to give us some money off of the cake we were given. The birthday party was in about an hour, so we were forced into accepting this crap cake. I couldn't show up to my kids party without a cake. After all was said and done, we tried to reach out to the other owner to resolve the situation, she was polite but never tried to make it right. Customer satisfaction is not a concern at Midtown Cakes. The cake they made looked like an amateur decorated it. I hated every second of my experience at Midtown Cakes. Also, their shop looks ran down, dusty and musky. I'm certain there are plenty of other shops in the Columbus area that would do a better job. Don't waste your time, money, or emotions on this amateur place.
