Dear Katrina, When you called our office during the 2018 Malibu fires, you asked for our help with canceling your venue. We were happy to guide you without you having to pay any penalties. Then, per your request, we helped you find a new wedding property. On your wedding day, it was truly heartbreaking that your guests were turned away from the contracted City of LA parking lot by the parking lot supervisor and attendant. You and your fiancé James had reviewed both contracts (City of LA and required parking lot company), along with several conversations and emails with them (I was copied) before you and James felt comfortable to sign their contracts, purchase the required insurance certificate and pay the additional money for the 30 spaces and hire their required supervisor and attendant to be present at the agreed upon start and end time. Even more heartbreaking, you were told of the situation on your wedding day as it was happening. Situations can and do happen at live events, but thats what planners are hired for - to resolve issues. When we were told, we immediately handed over our copies of the fully executed contracts to ensure that the City parking lot would have to open up to your guests. Our shuttle vendor IMMEDIATELY started to reroute your guests from the City lot to the homeowners lower parking lot and brought your guests up to the house via their shuttle. After about 20 minutes, the Citys lot started to open up spaces and they allowed new guest arrivals to park. Your ceremony started about 30 minutes late, however many of your guests had arrived 30 minutes early. The wedding schedule stayed on course throughout the night. The cocktail hour started at 5:36 PM instead of 5:20 PM per the final timeline. Regarding my not responding to James email the night before about his vows, I had texted James the lighting test photos around 10:30 - 11 PM when Brian and I finished and he texted back and approved them. I still have the test photos and they include the neon sign on the green hedge and the Gobo reflection in the swimming pool. Your wedding was lovely and you made a beautiful bride. Your social media posts on Instagram conveyed that it was one of the best days of your life. My team worked diligently to make sure that everything ran on track and we even had the owners extend your end-time on the property, since the guests were still talking and having fun. Weve been planning hundreds of beautiful live events for over 15 years and we take pride in our work and we care about our clients. Since your wedding, we have incorporated new policies to make sure this will never happen again. One of our new policies is that we must meet all potential clients first before we handle their wedding planning to make sure were a good fit. We wish you and your husband James all the best. When writing reviews, reviewers typically give either 1 star or 5 stars- really bad or really good. We decided on 2, because we are giving her 1 star for helping us find our wedding venue. If you need help finding a wedding venue, go to Gianna. She has access to venues all over LA, primarily on the west side. She works with Universal Locations (or if you want, maybe just go to Universal Locations directly) to be the middle man between you (the client) and them. She likely takes a cut, but I'm not sure- either way, Gianna helped us find our wedding venue and we loved it. Onto Gianna herself as a planner: she is disorganized, gets flustered easily, and really absent-minded. She convinced us to hire her as our full-on planner, not just day-of wedding coordinator, by saying she really knew the venue, she is close with the owners, and that she herself even got married at the venue. So even though we already were iffy about her (again- absent-minded, she tells long-winded stories, disorganized) we decided to go with her, since she "knew the venue". Malibu has a lot of rules and regulations, and our venue was a private estate- we figured since we had to bring everything in, having her would be beneficial. Boy, were we so wrong. The entire "planning" experience we didn't take of her suggestions- (her design aesthetic was different from ours) but to each their own- no problem. We didn't need to take any of her ideas, we went with what we thought was best (and what the venue would allow, based on what she told us was allowed and what wasn't). We still copied her on all e-mail correspondence with our vendors, and gave her any information that she needed to know to add to her "file" of our wedding. On the day of the wedding rehearsal, Gianna asked us to "dummy-proof" all of the décor/knick-knacks that were going to be used for the wedding- I did just that. I gave her all the boxes and clearly labeled what each box had and what each item was going to be used for. She was so flustered and kept asking the same questions over and over, that we mentioned multiple times in e-mail and over the phone. We let that go thinking "ok, some people are more organized than others, it's fine. She's a wedding coordinator so she'll shine doing the rehearsal." During our actual rehearsal with our wedding party, she was never able to take control and lead everyone. She had the processional order ahead of time and could not put people in the correct order, then kept disappearing throughout the rehearsal- once we all processed down and were looking around for guidance on what to do next, everyone kept asking "Where's Gianna?" because she disappeared. She also kept saying little comments to my bridesmaids like "I need to change my shirt" or "I don't usually wear this" which obviously is inconsequential to the entirety of the event. She really disappointed us at the wedding rehearsal. That night, my husband wrote her a long e-mail saying how she let us down at the wedding rehearsal and she really needs to step it up the day of our wedding because IT IS THE DAY OF OUR WEDDING. He then also asked if he needed to print his vows. She responded maybe an hour before we had to get to the venue the day of the wedding (12+ hours later), saying she'd print the vows so he wouldn't have to but what kind of wedding planner doesn't monitor their e-mail the day of a wedding? As Chairman of a 501 c 3, we had Gianna put together several brunches. She negotiated the contracts with the Sheraton Universal, wrote the scripts, coordinated all other aspects, performers etc and was on site to "run " the events. All went smoothly as planned. We made money and had fun, Gianna is a true WINNER...she knows her business, makes honest recommendations and delives as promised. Can recommend her without reservation..Bill F.

Its been more than 5 years since I had my wedding, but I still remember my wedding day vividly. We had already booked Wayfarers Chapel for our ceremony but was struggling to find the right venue for the reception. I searched VRBO, AirBnB and had no luck. I finally googled Private estate wedding and Giannas name popped up right at the top in the results. I reviewed her website and I could tell she is well connected and obviously the person who is specialized in private estate weddings in Southern CA. Based on my research not many people have an access to the private estates for special events. I couldnt find the venue without her help and the venue was gorgeous and exactly what I wanted. I ended up hiring her as my wedding planner as well She orchestrated the entire day and I even learned that there was a little accident (a very intoxicated wedding guest and some ambulance situation) towards the end of my wedding day which she graciously took care of. I didnt even know or hear about this after weeks of my wedding. From start to finish my wedding day was a dream come true! Behind the scene there was Gianna and her crew making sure everything goes smoothly. If you are looking for a very special place for your events, dont hesitate to contact her!

Gianna and Company have been doing our families events for over 10 years now. Every single event has gone off without ONE hitch!! Gianna is incredible. A true professional with a wonderful heart and soul. Not only does the client come first, but the whole family and extended relatives do, as well.
