I recently made an almost annual visit to this shop not only to enjoy the view but also to shop for souvenirs of the Berkshires. While there, and the only person in the store, I was checking and holding a sweatshirt when the lady behind the counter asked if she could make me a cup of coffee. I replied no thank you but could I use the (public) restroom. She immediately replied that the restroom is for customers only! Correct me if I am wrong, but doesnt it appear that I was a customer? It wasnt like I rushed into the place searching for a restroom, I was shopping and had been there long enough for her to offer coffee. I later learned that the lady is the store owner. No wonder shops along the trail are fewer and fewer when customers are treated like this.
Not a bad little place to check out, I haven't bought anything from here or experienced the customer service here but I can say the view that over looks north Adams from the lower parking is absolutely breath taking on foggy mornings.
Timothy, thanks for taking the time to share your experience @ the Wigwam and even more glad you got to try the chocolate fondue! We look forward to seeing you again when youre back in the area!

A must visit, I brought my Mother and Melissa to the Wigwam Western Summit on Mothers Day. Although we did not plan to visit, we just stumbled upon this wonder and glad we did. Accommodating and warm hearted hostesses Leah and Julie welcomed us right in and offered us a beverage and to relax while we shopped around and took in the great open views. The sun was in that setting stage it was around 430 pm I had thought it was a regular gift shop and an outlook pull off for tourists. But it is much more than that there is a much more in-depth historic story behind The location and what new owner Leah has done to preserve and continue what is a great landmark. You have to see it For yourself, lodging is available and dont forget to ask about the chocolate or cheese fondue :-)
Nice view, great place for nick nacks but pricing is just way too high. I understand trying to make up for the last two years and if it was slightly marked up I'd be ok with it. But the prices are simply not realistic.
