I purchased a low mileage Explorer from New Roads. On the test drive I noticed the the AC was not up to par. I asked to not sign the As Is document until my mechanic could look at it. The salesman assured me that would be okay. After 2.5 long hours of waiting to sign paperwork on a prenegotiated deal, the owner assured me my request was not possible. He had his mechanics check it out with undisclosed methodology and assured me that the air conditioning was up to standards. After reluctantly signing the deal (I was tired by this point) and returning home, I took the vehicle to my mechanic and within 15 minutes he discovered that I had less than half the refrigerant necessary and an $1800 in-dash leak. I bought a used car and I am not surprised that any car can have an air-conditioning problem. I AM disappointed that this dealership, a FORD dealership with all the technology Ford provides, could not confirm my suspicions and allow me an informed decision. I feel deceived.
Horrible, they really should be close. We took our 2000 Lincoln LS in for repairs and here we are a month later and we still don't have our car back. How do these people stay in business. Never take a car to these people for repairs.
After searching Baton Rouge and Gonzales for a 2015 Ford 250 for my business I found New Roads Motor Company had the best price and gave the the most for my trade in. I highly recommend New Roads Motor Company, a guy named Jacob helped me from purchase to finance. Great Dealership.
I cannot recommend the shop here highly enough. While in New Roads for a business meeting, a splash shield partially detached from under my car and was dragging on the road. I just needed it taken off so I could get back to New Orleans. The folks in the shop took my car in right away, took the part off, and even wrapped it up in plastic so it wouldn't get my car dirty. Honestly, I'd have paid them whatever they'd asked because I was so pressed for time, but they charged me nothing at all. This service spoke volumes about the integrity of the people who work here. I couldn't be more appreciative.
Not even worth 1 star. Horrible service. We planned everything out and still had to wait 3 hours. I picked out my car a week before, had insurance and everything ready for the day of, all we had to do was sign papers. We were told to be there for 8:00, we got there at 7:30 and had to wait 2 and a half hours before even getting to the finance department to sign papers. AND NO ONE EVER TOLD US WHAT WAS GOING ON! The only thing they said was that someone else had come before us, EVEN THOUGH WE HAD AN APPOINTMENT SCHEDULED, ( their appt was later). They were very rude and don't manage their time well. RUINED my car buying experience
