Horrible!!! A Fraudulent Company that ran off with my deposit and never showed up!! Currently suing the owner Derek Ancalade!!! I don't understand how company is still existing without paying customers for fraudulent business deals and running off with deposits.

Because of the fine job I saw on my neighbor's property, I requested an estimate from Big Easy Landscaping . I was surprised to find they weren't as expensive as I'd expected them to be. However, this was not the case, so we had them re-do our concrete driveway.

Big Easy Landscaping provides excellent service at a reasonable cost. Outdoor lighting and a deck for our house were two projects they finished for us, and we are thrilled with the results.

8/9/19 PLEASE READ MY ENTIRE REVIEW OF THIS COMPANY BEFORE YOU DO BUSINESS WITH THEM! Here is the latest on our case. We just left the Small Claims Court in Slidell. We filed suite for the refund of our $4,500 deposit. Derek Ancalade, owner of Big Easy Landscape, LLC did not bother to show even though he signed for the court summons and was personally served the summons. His failure to show resulted in a full award in our favor of $4500, court costs and interest. This is not over yet as we still have to collect. We fully intend to pursue this to full repayment. Another Bad update: 7/19/19 Just had another person reach out last night. Please take the time to do your homework before you give this guy any money. 5/23/19: Just had another victim reach out to me yesterday. He took her money and ran. This is now 7 folks. Please reach out to me for details. AGAIN MORE UPDATES: Just found out a dude won a small claims court suit against Derek back in 2015 and has never seen his settlement money. Apparently Derek closed his prior two business after he took folks money and never preformed work. Those businesses were Preauxscapes and Accuturf. People are coming out of the wood work now. Please do not use this company or any other company owned by Derek Ancelade. 5/21/19 UPDATE: In the past 5 days - 3 more folks have reached out to me about my issues with Big Easy Landscaping. All three have had the exact same experience and gave a deposit over $6,000 in January or February and none have had their jobs even started. Please think twice before you give this company any money or use them. THIS IS A WARNING! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I agree with the warning from Christy S. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Derek Ancalade took our money and once he had it he forgot all his promises. We wanted to see his contractors licenses and proof of insurance prior to starting the job. He keep promising he would provide it prior to the start. He has never provided the documents. He is not listed on the Louisiana State Licensing Board (even though he told us when we signed the contract that he was) and has never provided us with documentation that he is insured. He gave some excuse about having an issue with his insurance company so he left them and was having a hard time getting the proof of insurance form from his new company. Along the way his wife was sick, he was sick, his dog died and the weather were all issues with him. We asked for our deposit back and that's when things went south very quickly. We have lots of text messages from him with empty promises, lies and no returned deposit. He asked if he could repay the deposit over 4 months and we said no. Now looking into this further we are finding others who are having the same exact issue with Derek and his company. If you would like to hear more or look at our many many many text messages please let me know. I would be happy to show you. DO NOT USE BIG EASY LANDSCAPING. We will pursue this matter in civil court., with the BBB, and with the Louisiana Attorney Generals office.
