I'm sorry you are dissatisfied with our debit card substantiation process. We do follow the IRS guidelines and temporarily suspend the usage of a debit card if we have not received itemized documentation on transactions requiring additional information. Because HealthPartners does provide services which may not be reimbursable under your plan, we are required to obtain itemized documentation which provides the date of service, a description of services provided as well as the fee incurred. If you need additional information regarding your two outstanding debit card transactions, please contact customer service. Thank you.

I cannot express how much I HATE this company. I debated about leaving a review because I knew I'd have to give them 1 star when they don't deserve even that. I will not ever opt in to use this company and if I could get them to send the 750 I have in my account back to my employer so I can get the taxes taken out, I would do it in a heart beat. Last month they refused to pay a prescription for $1.36 because they want a receipt for a bill I paid to Healthpartners in February. Seriously...Healthpartners. What else could I have possibly purchased at Healthpartners that wasn't medical/health related? I HATE this company and I cannot wait until I buy $750 of freaking bandaids just to get them out of my life.
If your prescriptions are not the standard copay amount, unfortunately we will require an itemized receipt or Explanation of Benefits to obtain all of the required information. If this is an ongoing standard prescription refill, we may have some options for you. Please call us and we can discuss potential options with you. Thank you.

Constantly denied approval using the Benny VISA debit card at Healthpartners for prescriptions and copays. Has overall been an on-going horrible service.
Rebecca, I'm glad to hear the process works for you and thank you for the suggestion.

I've had no troubles with my benny card at Walgreens or doctors' offices. I use it there for copays for office visits, prescriptions, and some OTC FSA-approved expenses. Only times I've been asked for documentation were for eyeglasses or when I bought specialty eyedrops from doctor's office. (Both places provided itemized receipts in addition to standard credit card receipts because they know they're required for reimbursement.) I did get account suspended once because of lack of documentation... but mainly because Gmail's sorting algorithm sorted them into a folder that mostly gets junk mail, so I didn't see the notifications. Once I submitted itemized receipts for the items in question, my card was reactivated. Meanwhile, I was able to submit receipts for other expenses via their website. Previous providers didn't suspend cards, but they did require the same level of documentation. I do wish 121 would come up with a policy that allowed the card to continue being used as long as there was money (in addition to disputed expense) to cover the payments, as the problem is not with the card or other expenses, especially now that email sorting algorithms are more aggressive and messages can get lost.
always have some one to talk to ,remember when they ask for some paper work it is the requirements they have to follow from the IRS ,nothing but helpful thanks you.
I am done with 121 Benefits. it is not worth the hassle.
