Super slow service. They have had my electronic for a month now and Ive called for multiple updated and they have not been able to give me anything. They also said they person who worked on it keeps not coming into work (which they shouldnt tell a customer). Every time i call They said they will call me back with an update and they never did once and I have had to continue to call back each week and still havent had a final solution. All I want is my electronic fixed and shipped back and they arent giving me any certainty, at this point i just want answer or send it back and Ill send it else where.
We are sorry you were not pleased with your experience. You had called asking us to install a SSD and RAM that YOU had purchased, not knowing if it was compatible or not. We stated that we can not quote without seeing the device because we do not know how your device is built internally without doing the proper diagnostic. Clearly you chose to ignore everything we stated, along with the terms that are posted, and the terms that you signed twice on drop off and pickup. We charge a $50 non-refundable diagnostic NOT deposit. That is for the time we put in to determine all issues and perform work on the device. If work is approved, then that $50 goes towards the repair. This is clearly stated over the phone and on all documents upon drop off of any device. Just because you purchased a random SSD and RAM does not mean that it will magically fit. After opening the device we called and stated there is no SATA connector to allow the SSD to fit but can attempt to micro solder a connector onto the motherboard. We also stated that it may not work but if it does not then you are not responsible for the quote. At that point you seemed to understand and approved. Work was performed and did not work. We called and stated it appears the SSD could not be installed to be functional and to pick up the device. Also the RAM that you provided was DDR4 not DDR3 that your device needed. Everyone is entitled to there own opinion with work performed but know that micro soldering is not something that many places offer. During the 10 days your device was with us, our notes indicate that we had to order parts and wait for them to get delivered. We also spoke with you 3 times to relay all information and get approval to proceed with the work.

I wanted to add solid state HD and reinstall the windows to my notebook. When I went in store, I was quoted more than what I had been told over the phone. It shows there is very poor communication among the associates. The difference was about $50, so I did not care. They asked for a $50 deposit upfront, which again I had no problem with. I got my notebook back after about 10 days. During these 10 days no body cared to give me a call and update on the progress. The notebook did not come with features to add extra HD, so they wanted to solder additional port to motherboard, which I was completely okay with. I am sure the pandemic was responsible for the delay in work, but atleast a heads up when the work would be done would have been nice. My notebook did not accept new HD even after soldering. I was asked to take the notebook back but $50 depot will not be refunded. I was suo because none of the work promised had been done. I asked them if they can simply reinstall the windows the notebook had, and I was told additional $50 for it. So 10 days and $50 later, I got nothing from Gadget Guru. I don't want to post bad review, specially during this pandemic, but I had to share my honest experience. I don't like giving money to a company for them to research. I would ask others to make sure they refund deposit it the work could not be done.

Seamless experience with a professional staff. Brought in my PC that was crashing and had other issues I couldnt identify. Within a day they were able to pinpoint the problem, backup all my data, and re-setup the computer. Shoutout to Jason and Alex for fixing this, would have taken me forever. Will definitely take all my future repairs here!

We didnt find any repairs under the name "Psychotic komachan" but did find a repair order under BJ" for a Switch brought in on 3/11/20, based on our logs of Switch repairs. If this is your device, we are sorry to read that youre still having issues. We identified liquid damage was caused by urine. This is highly corrosive and can have lasting effects even after a thorough liquid treatment. This was explained and disclaimed after the customer approved the work and reiterated again during pick up of the Switch. After performing the treatment, we tested all areas of the device that we could and deemed all areas including Joy Con charge capabilities and connectivity to pass tests. While Gadget Guru does not provide warranty service on liquid treatments in certain situations like this one, we are always happy to work with the customer directly on questions and concerns. I brought in my switch telling them that both my Power button on my Nintendo switch wasnt working nor were the sides of my switch where the joycons would be placed. I paid the diagnosis and left it there and they told me me that they found an odor and that they left out to dry, I said that its fine by me and to please fix my switch. When they said it was ready for pick up I went to to pick it up and came home to it not working still and not being able to charge my joycons.
