Perhaps I had an unlucky experience but when I went in for a haircut a short while ago, I had booked my time nearly a week earlier for a hair cut AND shampoo/conditioning. Once I arrived (10 minutes early too) I sat and waited until almost 30 minutes past my appointment time. I was waiting on the hairdresser to finish up with her previous appointment and the reason it was taking so long is because the salon employee FORGOT that the customer had scheduled for hair AND makeup...so the hairdresser asked me to wait longer. About an hour and a half after my scheduled time, I was finally in the salon chair. However, as I previously stated I had booked my appointment for a hair cut AND shampoo/conditioning. I'm assuming the hairdresser FORGOT once again what their customer was asking for and at this point I just wanted my hair done so I could go home. I tried to remind the hairdresser what I booked my appointment for but I was clearly ignored and she went straight to cutting my hair. I was not happy with the results either even after giving direction to what I ideally wanted for my hair cut... So I cut my losses, paid for my haircut and ended up going to another salon down the street the next day to fix my hair. I realize we are living in tough times with the current economic climate but that shouldn't equate to a total loss in professionalism. My entire experience with this salon was underwhelming and unprofessional with a heavy dose of disappointment in the service provided. I hope this isn't a regular experience for all their customers but it's hard for me to believe when it happened to me AND to the girl with the appointment right before me... I will not be returning to StyleU Salon and I really hope they learn to care about their customer's a lot more.
I went to Selma as a new client and basically asked her to cut off about 6 inches of hair without a clear vision of what I was going for. She kept experimenting with the style and my curl pattern until we both thought it was good. It took me a bit to get used to short curly hair after wearing it long for 15 years but I have got nothing but enthusiastic compliments on my new do! Thanks for the sassy new look I think it makes me look so much younger and its so easy to style!
