Thank you for your kind review. We appreciate that you found the place nice, clean, and friendly, with great customer service. However we do feel we need to address your comment regarding numbers. On the day you both arrived, at 13.43, 19 people were in. Checking the sign-out book when you left roughly an hour later, a further 17 people had entered during your hour visit, meaning 36 people throughout your one-hour stay. We're sorry we did not meet your expectations in other areas though. Regarding age and background of people, Plastic Ivy is an all inclusive place and we take pride in having a very diverse customer base, of both young and old, and of different sizes and ethnicities. As a small-sized sauna, with layout constraints we agree it can feel a little narrow around the cruising corridor. The staggered panels at one entrance to the cruising corridor is to slow the entry down into that part of the building, providing a different ambience to the open wet areas. We do aim to add further cabins soon and we certainly take on board your comments, and aim to improve. Thank you for your constructive feedback. Ivy Staff.

We have been to this place due to the positive reviews it has on here, but we have not been pleased. The place is nice, clean and friendly and the customer service is absolutely amazing. On the other hand, we visited this place during one of the busiest times (according to Google) and there were about 15 people, with a mix of Asian and old guys. We would had liked to spend some time in the tube, but it was busy as the same people remained in it for the entire time of our visit (about 1 hour). Sauna and steam room were fine, but the corridor with cubicles was too small, with people obstructing the doors, and some panels that made the corridor smaller that it actually is. We decided to leave and we will not come back.

We're very sorry you were unhappy with your visit. Plastic ivy is most busiest from 12 noon opening with 60-75 visitors daily, and then it gets very quiet an hour or so before closing. When it's quiet we tell every customer before they pay how many is in when it's late evening and getting quiet so they have a choice. We close at 10pm but if just one or two are left half hour before closing we start to tidy up upstairs. At 6pm the price drops to 8.50, which makes us the best value in the Yorkshire area, and a flurry comes just after 6pm, but then quietens after 8pm. I'm sorry you did not find the staff attractive. We take pride in providing a safe discreet place for men to meet other men, irrespective of size, age, race, or looks, and that applies to staff too. All of our staff have been here over 4 years or much longer... most over 10 years as our ethos is to provide something sustainable for both customers and staff and the gay / bi community. We take on board your comments and aim to ensure we remain the busiest sauna in Yorkshire over a week in terms of customer numbers. Went to this sauna ,firstly it says open 12-10 pm so if anyone is going to kate evening be prepared to be told there closing early which is wrong because they take your money and if they don't wish to stay open until 10 then they should change opening times ..to make matters we where told to closing early yet s young lad who does not work there was sat at the bar with a towel wrapped round Gil clearly not leaving or getting dressed probably using the facilities with s member of staff after paying customers leave . The staff are amongst the worst looking sauna staff Ivd seen in a gay sauna , unattractive Witt no customer service skills at all .. The 13-50entry may not seem too expensive but compared to other saunas that are thermos the size of this one it's not that cheap either . Only been once and wouldn't waste my time going again worse

Been a few times and this place is rapidly going down hill although plastic ivy is very clean 10 /10 for cleanliness the clientel let's the place down
