My daughter took my car in to get a diagnosis on a check engine light. AJ tells her he has to order a part. They send me an estimate for the repairs, which I do not approve. I call the next morning to tell them I do not approve of the pricing and AJ proceeds to tell me that they started on my car "last night" after telling my daughter five minutes earlier that they started on it about an hour ago..... When I talk to another service manager, they haven't even started on it... I am so frustrated about being lied to in order for someone to make commission or a profit by taking advantage of people. Stay away from Honda Carland Service!!!! They are overpriced and untruthful!!!
The old bait and switch. Advertise a price on autotrader, and get you to enter all your info on their website. You do that and they email you a deal. Deal has the same price as autotrader, great. And then right when youre ready to pull the trigger, oh, theres also a $5000 mark up on the advertised price and a $1545 protection package. Oops, not included in autotrader or the deal. Dont waste your time here.
As many other reviewers noted, Honda Carland attempts to sell unnecessary services and/ or have high prices for repairs. Told me I needed a 10 quart transmission exchange special service as part of factory recommended 60k service at twice the cost of normal transmission service. Called several other Honda dealer service departments and was told this was not recommended, necessary or required. Also quoted approximately $575 for a fog light and trim replacement citing the need to remove and replace the front bumper to do the install. I googled online, bought aftermarket parts for $129 and did myself in 20 minutes without the need to do anything to the bumper.
