Rates are among the highest in the state and that does suck, but quick to fix any power issues like during hurricanes. Make sure you all live in houses that arent wasting so much energy! Good insulation, better windows, newer A/C units will save a ton of money. So many houses in GNV are old and waste a lot of energy.

Why do they have a 1.4 star rating? I have been a customer for over 2 years and they charge very high rates. I have a 1240 sf house and my electric bill is $250 plus $50 extra for the sur charge and other fees they charge. They also my understanding that part of my bill is given to the Gainesville Commission. I had a house that was 3 shorties in NE of Atlanta and more then twice the size of this one and my utilities were cheaper.
