Quite baffled at the reviews so i thought id share my experiences to even out the score. So I've lived at the 118th location for 5 years and even though there have been changes in staff due to regular transition of people into new opportunities, new management, and new software they implemented but later decided to discontinue in favor of the previous software, id say theyre decent with getting back to me.... I never noticed a roach problem; Ive seen maybe one or two randomly a year and for NYC thats great. There will always be roaches in any building. However to keep them out of your apartment the key is being clean....I noticed a-lot of people today dont know what basic cleanliness is.... I make sure everyone is on top of chores at my place..... Never had mice inside the apartment or in the halls....the building used to have a bad mice problem outside; While there are still mice i wouldnt say its a problem anymore, Its just like most nyc streets now mice wise, but really they hang around the tenant garbage that they for some odd reason cant Be bothered To place inside the Garbage pails. Tenants would leave the garbage by the steps going down to the basement outside, and everywhere but the actual bins..... Alot of issues are tenant related. For example people drop food and don't clean it up (I've had to then clean it if i expect company so people wont know just how gross tenants can be). I notice the more people leave the better the building becomes. Just needs better tenants. The guy whose lease i took over got his deposit on time....i would say i or my roommates have not experienced issues because we are clean and respectful, And pay on time.

Super does not live in building. Does not answer phone calls or text messages. Management never answers phone. Blunt guts and weed wrappers littered in the hall ways. Tenants without heat/ hot water/ gas. Do not rent with Archrock.
