While I appreciate constructive criticism, I'm afraid I must address the misleading review you left. Yes, it's true my wife is just learning how to paint. Yes, it's true the employee I had in my employ was not up to par. As you well know that employee is no longer with me anymore due to his lack of performance. The "mismanagement of funds" is not accurate either. The RI Builder's Association only allows us to collect one third of the estimated invoice as a deposit. Simple math will tell you if I collect $700 deposit on a job that estimates $1200 in materials, that money has to come from somewhere. Guess where it comes from? That's right, MY pocket. Completing the phase of a remodel to get that cash sounds simple enough until you change your mind about the cabinets quoted in the original agreement and decide to get special ordered cabinets from a different supplier. OR you change your mind/ can't make up your mind which light fixtures you want, or the color paint you want to use. Let's not forget the items you add to the phase after it has already started that were not part of the original agreement like replacing four doors or deciding you want trim done around the windows at the last minute. Yes, there were aspects of planning that I could have handled better and I will use this experience to better myself and my process. You also failed to mention that you went to Ireland for several weeks and did not bother to let me know you were back so I could finish the work. You also failed to mention that you still owe me money from before you went out of the country. Then you leave a misleading review with twisted half truths. I think anyone would agree that it's hard to finish a job on time when the job keeps getting bigger with every passing moment.

While Robert is a nice guy. Go to isnt a great name. Always pleasant and responsive. Unfortunately thats all the positives I can give. He was hired to complete a kitchen that was basically a lay over. The work lasted months and is still incomplete. His wife, who admittedly had never done this work before was tasked with jobs she couldnt do, nor did she seem to want to. Robert would tell me he would often find her sleeping during the day when she was suppose to be here. And his helper was hardly helpful. Whenever Robert turned his back Frank would disappear. Often complained that he couldnt do much of the work but bragging how accomplished he was as a craftsman. And much of the work frank did, Robert had to redo. Also Robert seemed to mismanage his funds. Asking for payment before a stage was complete to pay rent or payroll or even registration on a vehicle. Now Ive read some positive reviews here and thats why I hired him. Hopefully things get better and this is a lesson learned. I know I learned a lot.
Robert has been the most professional and reasonably priced handyman I've ever found bar none ....ive been dealing with him for more than three years and know I will be using him for all my home projects. Thanks Robert
Robert is a credit to his profession. He is accessible, and responds very quickly, sometimes within minutes! Robert has completed a wide range of home projects for me, demolition, paint, counter tops, banisters, toilets, ceiling fans, screens, you name he has done it. Robert's prices are honest and reasonable. I highly recommend his services.
Robert is an absolute gem of a handyman. Over the past few years he has repaired and replaced many items throughout my home. His work is impeccable, his rates are reasonable, and he always demonstrates the highest degree of professionalism and pride in a job thats not just done, but done right! I would recommend him without reservation!
