Novena, I am very sorry that you were disappointed at the store yesterday. I am not not sure about what conversation you over heard because none of us have ever bred our dogs or plan too breed. I know my dogs run to the door to greet averyone and can be overwhemling and for that I do apologize. I hope that you would be willing to call me and discuss that matter with me further.

Have been treated rudely in the past and yesterday overheard employees talking about their backyard breeding. The employee behavior didn't bother me as much (people have bad days, I get it) as hearing that the staff members bred/attempted to breed dogs without health testing, titling, or any other ethical breeding practices. Also have had my dog growled/snapped at by resident dogs (the goldens and the Airedale) when he wasn't even interacting with them in the past, just happened to get too close (which is inevitable because the store is very cramped). I used to go here for chews and bathing/grooming supplies, but will be seeking other stores now. Very disappointed.

The shop has a terrific selection of toys and healthy food/treats, but the staff made us feel very unwelcome - in particular one person who was visibly annoyed that she had to stop her paperwork to help us. We'll be making many return visits to Banner Elk, but not to this shop.

This is the best source for healthy food, treats, toys, and supplies for your dogs and cats. I love it and stop in there often. I travel an hour and a half to get there, but it is the best! +Coach Jon, Old Fort NC

Hi Linda, I'm sorry you were not happy with your visit. We don't want a lot of people touching our dogs with the hand sanitizer because its toxic for them but you could have pet them before you used the sanitizer and unforunately our treat baker came down with Covid so we are low on our baked goods.

Customer service is a plus and well.... There wasnt any. Also why have dogs laying all over the place and NOT be allowed to touch any. Talk about socially awkward. Its a dog "bakery" and they had 2 cold frosted dog bone choices.
