I asked for a sombre and I got a full head of highlights, so now I have to spend even more money now to get it fixed, as it looks tacky. My fringe was cut unevenly too. For the price I paid I expected much more.
I visited W&W on two occasions. I regret both. The first time I booked in with Chris (I called specifically asking for him as I had seen such good reviews about him) but when I arrived, I was told he wasnt there that day and that someone else would cut my hair. I also chose to try W&W as I had an introductory offer and decided it would be a good time to find a hairdresser in the area. Unfortunately, my hairdresser wasnt the nicest but the cut itself was good, there was also a treatment I wanted doing and so booked in for a later date. When I went to pay, I discovered my cut was much more than I expected as they were higher up than Chris, even with the discount they were more than his full price. I mentioned it and the receptionist was really defensive and said I hadnt booked with Chris as it was his day off (even though I had booked the date specifically on a day he was in according to the receptionist) and I was still charged the amount I couldnt really afford at the time. I wouldve re-arranged the appointment if I had known Chris wasnt in. I left feeling upset but hoped itd just be a one off and decided Id make sure to get a written quote by email for my next treatment. Before my next hair treatment, I emailed to ask for a quote and kept getting the response that Id need to call and talk to the hairdresser, it took a long time and eventually got the quote (150 - same price as on their website for long hair) and I repeatedly asked the receptionist to email it to me but it never happened. On the day of the treatment (my birthday - a huge treat to myself) I found the whole thing unrelaxing and hostile. Other services that would cost an additional 50+ were being pushed on me and when I rejected them, only having booked the treatment I wanted, the hairdresser was extremely off with me and became more rough with my hair. There were a few things they did with the treatment that I know now were wrong, but at the time I was made to feel so uneasy - I didnt speak up. When it came to pay they asked for 185, much more than the original price, my biggest fear all over again, I challenged it and the receptionist and hairdresser were super rude and horrible. They even asked if I had an email with the quote and I was in shock because had asked so many times to have it emailed to me. I ended up paying 165 after they compromised but I left shaking, I went back to my car and cried. I was meant to have a nice birthday day out but instead went home feeling really upset. I also had videos taken for their social media that I didnt want and had voiced, I am not paying you to be your promotional material. I 100% do NOT recommend the salon. There is obviously some talent in the names frequently mentioned in reviews (e.g. Chris) but my experiences have been pretty awful and my hair has been left damaged. There were other little things like being left quite a lot in the middle of my treatments and hearing staff talking about clients in a gossipy way. I really wanted to love it at W&W and finally have a good hairdresser, wish I hadnt given it a second chance and wish I had left a review straight after to warn others. I can see other people have also had negative experiences. I wonder how many others have had awful experiences but not left a review. I have changed my name on this review as I do not want to ever have contact with the receptionist or hairdresser again. You couldnt pay me to go back.

horrible experience, a male barber, blowing hair too hard, hair was torn off a lot, shampooing without washing the scalp, only wetting the scalp and hair, resulting in scalp allergies and acne.
