I'm electrician that contracted two jobs there that they did not completely pay me for. I changed out all the receptacles in Building C and never got paid for it I only wanted to charge him $800.
This place has a lot to offer. They provide housing, food, jobs, medical assistance, etc. management does a great job with caring to all our needs. Would definitely recommend to anyone trying to get on there feet. Awesome awesome program. We've been here two years and we are about to move in to a house. They have several events and cookouts as well as celebrity appearances. They offer transportation to those in need. No way is it a 5 star hotel, but this place is far above and beyond what these other programs offer. The best program for vets in atlanta if u ask me. I've even worked for these guys and I'll tell u, it was a great experience. Atlanta and struggling vets absolutely need this place. Great lift towards opportunity, stability, and independence.
Let me start by saying, this facility is poorly ran. I have a loved one currently residing in this facility and it is never a good conversation anytime we communicate. Case managers are not properly allocating resources to patients, there is no specific point of contact or hierarchy, and the facility does not meet many of the needs of the clients, including: dietary needs, WIFI access for job applications, and proper transitional resources. I decided to intervene and contact a staff member in order to address some of my concerns and to inquire about some of the new protocols. After 3 consecutive instances of attempted contact, I was finally able to speak with lead case manger, Kathy Williams. I was told that I had to be the patients POA or the client had to be present in order for any information to be discussed. Mind you, I just had some questions in regard to the proper protocols that were implemented due to the COVD-19. Once I was able to contact my spouse and prepared to have him present for the conference call, the case manager, Kathy Williams, got very rude with me. She refused to discuss my spouses case, even though he was present. She went back on her word and told me to follow up with the client if I had any questions, and told me she didn't have time to speak with me. She then proceeded to refuse to give me any other contact information. I asked for her boss number and she told me the main line could assist me. She didn't give me a chance to ask questions or relay any vital information, she just continued to urge me to speak to my spouse about any questions I had regarding the facility's rules and regulations. Now, I am a Masters level clinician and Social Worker, so I am hyper aware of HIPPA laws/rights. I inquired about an release of information, and Kathy was too incompetent to even know what I was speaking of. She didn't seem knowledgeable enough to be anyone's case manger, and her rude tone was not professional at all. I called the mainline, for the 4th time in one day and was able to leave my name and number for the CEO to follow back up with me. I am not sure if the CEO was even present, nor was I given any further contact info. Overall, the facility does not have any proper or solidified protocols. It is poorly ran. Staff seems incompetent, rude, and having a poor fund of knowledge. I would never recommend any loved one to reside in this facility. The entire place needs to be reconstructed, starting with the staff.
