BUYER BEWARE-I had heard great things about Surefoot and was willing to pay the price for a fantastic fitting boot. At the store, I asked about my options and was told that a full custom boot was the best (and the most expensive) route. I mentioned that I wanted to explore all of my options before dropping $1200.00. The salesperson buckled me into the boot and my calf was being squeezed so tight that I commented on it. The salesperson response, "that is why you need a custom boot. Caveat-I am 5.7 and average weight with normal size calves. Having just tried on 8 other pair of boots that day, I knew something was wrong. Salesperson took the boot in the back and returned proclaiming that he had not realized that their was a shim in the boot. YEA RIGHT! I must have had DENSE stamped on my forehead. I left the store, went to Christy Sport where a wonderful salesperson named Chris fit me into a Dabello pair of boots for 350.00 (sale price). While I was in the Surefoot store, about four people were in there looking for adjustments to their custom boot. Excellent product or not? I say not.
Ive been skiing for over 40 years and was a ski instructor at Breckenridge in 94/95. Unfortunately this process did not work out for me. Over a dozen re-visits after the initial purchase at the Beaver Creek location I had them start over with a new boot model and it still didnt work. Nice people..but Very aggravating and disappointing to say the least for a $1200 investment. Thought I would be retiring with this boot not the case need to start over now. On top of discomfort this was cold boot even on temperate days +20 degrees.
Thanks for the review, Ron! We're sorry to hear that, but thank you for bringing it to our attention.

Maverick was awesome but when we first came in the boot fitter was a real jerk. Just because we had not bought our boots there he gave a real jerky attitude.. i get that it waa busy but his attitude was uncool...after thinking about it I went back in and Maverick was awesome. Super efficient and NICE. How hard us it to be nice?
I have to say that their customer service is AMAZING. I bought my Dabello boots from their Park City store a couple years ago. The boots were not expensive and were the most comfortable in the store for me. My feet have always tended to hurt at the end of the day. I have to say that Surefoot is amazing in tweeking the boot to make it fit properly. Because of their customer service I am a client for life. They have stores in many locations and you can go to any of them for adjustments--it doesn't have to be the same Surefoot store that you bought from. I recommend them highly.
All of the other shops in Beavercreek dont call them Sore Foot for nothing. Worst experience of my entire life. I was so excited for my new boots but i ended up in excruciating pain that had me in tears. Went in and was treated horribly by one of the employees and told I needed to ski more and walked away from me midsentence. I stood up and left without any adjustments. Emailed the manager and told him I think I might need adjustments as I was suffering and that I was told to ski more by one of his guys. Went in the next morning and was approached by the dismissive guy. He lied and said I was rude and began yelling and cussing me out as I literally sat there feeling that I was in the twilight zone. He said he was overworked and he didnt care that he dismissed me. Good for you that guy spent 1k! It was quite the scene. After regretfully allowing him to rile me up.I yelled back at him. I sat there sobbing all while they adjusted my boots. I have never been treated like that in my whole life. I have compassion for the shortages in the service industry and was patient when I asked for help the previous day. Needless to say my boots still were killing me. The guy ended up getting fired and I dumped the boots off and got a refund. The manager felt bad and did the right thing by allowing me to walk away from this company. I went to other shops and was told by multiple people that they dont know what they are doing. DONT BUY FROM THEM. Save your money. I wish I had done my research. Just google them. Tons of negative reviews.
