I wasn't going to leave a review until I received an email and text from Slingerlands, so here you go. Best Cleaners as a company is great, you just have to find the right employees. Unfortunately I will never be using the Slingerlands location again. I brought in a jacket, 2 shirts, and 2 slacks at 7:30am and was told that it would be ready by the end of the day since I brought it in before 9. I don't hear anything from them throughout the day so I decide to call at 4:30pm only to find out that everything besides the slacks were ready, which would not be ready until 3:30pm the next day when the driver dropped them off from Schenectady. I needed the pants for the next morning, so I asked if there was any way that I could get them from the Schenectady location, the answer was no. I understand that things happen, but if you're going to blame it on the snow then at least give me a heads up when I drop them off in the morning, when the snow was already bad. If I had known there was any chance that my clothes wouldn't be ready on the same day, I wouldn't have had them cleaned at all. Instead I had to buy a new pair of slacks for a business trip. The good news is that the next time I needed same day service, on New Year's Eve, I called around to a few different locations. The Delmar location told me that most Best Cleaners do it off-site, but the Latham location does it on-site and would be the most likely to have my clothes done on the same day, which they did. I'll happily leave a 5 star review for the Delmar location for giving me this info which would've been useful the first time around, and also for the Latham location who actually got it done when they said they would.

When Catherine (whom you spoke with this past week) and I made the decision to go "Cashless" we were aware that we would need to work through individual client needs and requests and remain open to working out a solution for you. I do appreciate the comment regarding email notification. We plan on sending an additional one this week based on your comments. We will also have our client facing team be more purposeful in pointing out the messaging on the counters and doors. Thank you Tim

The decision to go partially cashless is an example of a lack of business acumen. The non communication of this change via either e mail or by attaching a paper note to outgoing orders near the change date shows a lack of proper business conduct as well. Shame on this lousy decision. In time maybe they will go out of business.
Best Cleaners resolved my issue with my Loro Piana sweater quickly .They are by far the "best" Cleaners this side of "Jeeves" in Manhattan.I have sent them every fine item from my Pratesi Sheets to ny Chanel jackets. ,and had them beautifully taken care of .Tim and Tanya dealt with my situation promptly and of course Simone is the finest seamstress in the world .Jeanne-Marie Fribourg Lusk
