I most certainly did not recommend something not needed. You requested labor only to replace your starter, which is a strong indication that you would like to supply your own parts. In order to replace your starter assembly, the right hand side exhaust manifold needs to be removed to gain access to the starter assembly. I know this information without needing to see your particular vehicle because, I've performed this repair before. I also have access to information directly from land Rover that explains what is needed to replace the starter assembly. I quoted you the job you requested and also informed you that you would need an exhaust manifold gasket as well since you are providing your own parts. You immediately jumped to conclusions assuming that I'm trying to swindle you into a repair you don't need rather than simply ask why the additional part is requested. Normally I decline European vehicles however I know this particular repair and quoted you accordingly. I am a mobile repair service that brings the shop to your vehicle to perform repairs. I provide a convenience service which is an alternative to having your disabled vehicle towed to a shop. My service also allows you to speak directly with the experienced technician performing the repair as well as physically see what is happening while I'm working on the vehicle in your driveway, something most shops won't allow. Now after you accused me of swindling you, I responded with the explanation of why the additional part was needed. I did not appreciate your delivery of the part in question and did h best to not take it personally in my response. Hours after my response you decided to give me a 1 star review which I feel isn't deserved, but that's okay. I will just leave my response and post a picture of the conversation so others can understand the entire story behind my first one star review. Good luck with your vehicle.

I reviewed ratings for Rocco's Mobile Auto Repair, and was impressed . Therefore, I sent a message that inquired - "How much do you charge in labor only to install a starter into a 2003 Land Rover Range Rover HSE. A response was received back from Rocco's Mobile Auto Repair that stated - "Labor only is $325.00, you will also need a new exhaust manifold gasket for this repair." I sent individual a second message inquiring -"What does installation of a starter has anything to do with needing a brand new exhaust manifold gasket? A Starter and exhaust manifold gasket is considered two separate repairing jobs. This so called mobile mechanic had not seen, examined my vehicle to make any further determination of that, but had the audacity to blindly suggest this as additional work needed and never quoted any price / labor for that type of work. Not at all do I appreciate this type of business and shady practice. Especially coaxing something uncalled for. Several neighboring mobile repair services near my area were contacted to compare cost of installation of starter only and found this services to be the highest in cost that's unworthy. Be careful, or better yet steer clear of ill-fated service.

I showed up on time. You said you were coming right out. After waiting for 20 minutes I left to head toy next job. I was frustrated and could of communicated better, and you most certainly could of as well. The first words out of your mouth should of been "hey I'm at work walking home". Or better yet you could of been there at 10a. Like you said I told you I would be there within 30 minutes. To have me wait 20 minutes for you shows me lack of respect. It helps to give the full story when you 1 star someone. I have other clients waiting on me to show up on time, you making me wait, actually makes my other clients wait. Rather than upset 4 people today, I decided to move on to my other clients.

Lacking great respect for customers and customer service. Doesnt care about working people. Rocco lets me know hes on his way to get the part and will give me an eta. He gives me an eta for 30 min, I got to my home and he had already left he couldnt wait 12 min for me to show up. Shows lack of concern for others. I would never recommend his service, imagine how difficult it would be to get this person to come back if something goes wrong. Beware!!

Rocco is amazing. He fit me in so we could buy our dream vehicle. He did the pre-purchase inspection while we were remote, he went to the dealer for us. Very collaborative and he shared his thoughts on quite a few topics we asked about. Overall great experience and highly recommend
