You'll meet great people here. The "owners" (as they are called) are more like high-ranking managers since they are owned by "Smart Circle" (look them up) and can be fired or 'removed' by them. Bradley and Nick are cool dudes, and this isn't a knock on them, but the business practice makes it easy to be disingenuous for the sake of keeping a full bullpen of workers. When I was called for the first interview, I asked several questions over the phone: 1) is this a direct marketing company? 2) will I have to cold call or cold knock?) 3) will I have to stand in front of a general store, grocery store, convenience store? 4) will I be that guy standing in the middle of the store trying to sign people up for products? -- I asked again when in person, and I was told "No, we aren't that kind of marketing firm" more than once. Unfortunately, this is exactly what this company is. I was there when it was called "Pulse Management."
I have visited the office as a guest speaker for encore and was very impressed with the leaderships support of their team members. They truly are interested in helping their employees succeed. I was able to participate in a workshop and was impressed with their training techniques giving the employees a good foundation for a successful career. I went there to impart my experience as a successful business woman and was pleasantly invigorated by the infectious positive energy of the encore office.
I was looking for an internship this past summer and ended up at Encore Brand Management in the beginning of July. In all honestly, I disliked Encore the first couple weeks I was there, but Im very glad that I stayed. Not only did I gain a solid income for the summer, but I met some of the most intelligent, charismatic people in my life. The networking/relationships made will definitely last beyond the internship. My initial goal was to develop professional and social skills along with some cash. Since joining, not only have these skills drastically improved, but I gained the courage to voice my opinion in a professional environment. During the couple months I was there I interviewed applicants, trained employees, networked with sharp individuals, and developed direct marketing techniques. I would like to finish with the more you put into the company, the more you will get out of it.
Zero stars. Place is absolutely rude. Came in for an interview. Smelled like a multi level marketing scheme. This place had people coming in for interviews every 5 minutes. When I was interviewed by Nick the first thing he asked was how much willing to get paid for. No questions, no company mission, no anything. It's a Scam "We're here to interview you not the other way around" no buddy the interview goes both ways. Completely unprofessional. Avoid this place at all costs. This cheating of honest American workers is what makes them hate corporate. You better be paying your taxes or I'll shut you down myself.
