I had a student last year September and it was bad. I am from Minnesota and had a host student from Kyrgyzstan. Our preference was a specific religion and we were so happy to have the student. It was our first time. The reason I gave one star is because of the Minnesota coordinator who tries to bring student even by lying. The student was not able to get the host family because of her religious belief so she changed as per what we prefer to have. After she came we treated her like our child just to realize that she was looking for a different family at school so that she can leave us. After making friends with students from her own culture, she decided that it was time to let us know that SHE IS NOT WHO SHE. After 3 months of take care of her ( transportation food shelter) she packed her bags and left even though we were ready to keep her even after LYING. I BLAME THE MINNESOTA COORDINATOR COZ SHE CAN SHE BOTH SEE THE HOST FAMILY AND STUDENTS PROFILE. She will do anything to bring the student even if its lying because that how they make money. THIS WAS MY FIRST AND LAST TIME HOSTING. So be careful.

I've been trying to contact Greenheart Exchange for over 3 weeks regarding an extension of my visa. No one replies to any emails or answers the phone. Is anyone having this problem??? It's hard to believe is just me...

2019 - We hosted a young girl from Spain this year and what an amazing experience for my whole family. Greenheart is a great organization and the staff are all amazing, I am looking forward to hosting again. Thank you Greenheart for giving these young students an opportunity to experience a life outside their country with caring families around the world ;)

Wonderful program! I love placing these kids in amazing families and watching them exceed through the school year and the relationships that grow with the student and host family

some coordinators should not be allowed to ever contact with children. What kind of impression about America should I have if I am being disrespected and even blackmailed.
