Came to this store on Saturday morning around 11:30. The guy working did a terrible, terrible, terrible job. He did not greet us, did not help us at all and was rather grouchy as if he was doing the biggest favor for being there. I had a $300 budget to get a Panama hat. Took my business to JJ hat where I was treated like the most important person. The sales guy was so terrific doing his job that I ended up spending $680 and instead of one hat, I ended up buying two. Its sad to see business like this (have owned several Goorin Bros hat before) losing a loyal customer like me. Luckily, the bad experience gave me insight to go explore others stores. Hall-full glass, hum?
Lost my hat going to a show at Madison Square Garden. They helped me find an almost identical replacement and also helped stretch out the hat a little to better fit my head, since I was between sizes. Friendly people, quality hats.
Not much stock, and most of it much less impressive than the hats on the websites. I had a gift card I'd never used (mainly because of the same reasons I'm about to elucidate), but had a hard time finding a hat that both looked good and was in my size. The one fellow working there wasn't very helpful. The only had that appealed to me that was in my size was sold out online, or if have gotten it online. I asked for sanitizer before trying on hats (to avoid possibly soiling the hats) but he suggested I go next door. I wound up washing my hands using my water bottle. I did get the hat but I doubt I'll ever get another here.
