I note Peveril have numerous good early stage reviews in fact I did the same. However, after two years we have learnt a lot on how the company focuss and in fact its actual disregard to customer care where it becomes a cost to the company for their own errors. I have a number of disappointing scenarios to voice but the key point is the company refuses to take ownership of problems it creates and where it does the issues are resolved in the cheapest way possible leaving others to count the cost in time to come. I must add that the main controller behind Peverils stance To which I allude is a Mr Colin Wright who remains behind the scenes directing his staff. I must add that generally Staff below managerial status within the company aim to provide the best service they are allowed. Examples of our concerns included 1. Installing non compliant fencing exposed to the wind above a 10ft wall which when the issue of Risk Assessment was raised the damage was patched up for the next time. 2. Mr Batey Customer Care Manager left us to essentially put right our own front garden with minimal assistance when the company initially separated our front plot into two sections leaving cars to drive over our grass, including excavating Incorrectly placed concrete footings. 3. We also established that the land allowed for our driveway when requiring separation from our neighbours plot did not actually allow access for a vehicle even though the home had been designed and built with disability access in mind. Mr Wright listened in to a conference call hiding behind his initial refusal to rectify that situation. Finally, how many new sites are out there that people change their doors due to the fact they are not fit for purpose? Its a new one to me. But again despite many adjustments in warranty Mr Batey Peveril Customer Care manager considers it to be an out of warranty issue!. Our last composite front door at our previous home did not need a maintenance contract to cater for seasonal changes. So the moral of the story Is dont be too quick to express your joy as it is simply a practice Peveril pursue to seek sales at new sites. once you are in then it is all about the profit!. Recently purchased my first home through Peveril Homes. The sales manager (Sharon) has been fantastic in helping me get everything sorted including things like getting access to the property before it was finished in order to measure up for blinds etc. The after care team have also been great. They allow you plenty of time, without pressure, to check for any snags and are quick to organize any further work to resolve any snags. The site manager (Eric) will also give you a few visits and is eager to answer any questions. The house itself is well designed and well constructed. Highly recommend Peveril.
