Beyond BASIC Life Skills is a wonderful organization that has done great things for my son and others with intellectual disabilities that need help beyond the basics. The staff is awesome and my son absolutely loves it!

As the parents of a daughter who has been attending Beyond Basics for about a year, we are very impressed with the staffs' abilities and kind, caring nature. They continually come up with new activities and ventures that teach and entertain the team members. Our daughter enters the building with a smile on her face and returns home with it too. We can't say enough good that the experience as brought to our family.

My son has been a Beyond BASIC Teammate for four years and continues to love it! Thanks to the positive and consistent guidance he gets at BB he has continued to move forward in self-help, self-advocacy, and social skills, even during the pandemic.The Directors and Team Captains are always looking for new ways to engage the BB Teammates, in person, or on Zoom.This past year has been a test for everyone, but this organization has met every challenge thrown at them and kept moving forward with courage and grace.

I have been blessed to be able to volunteer at Beyond BASIC weekly. My experience has been nothing short of amazing and many teaching moments. At Beyond BASIC the staff and teammates are family. One of the many things I love about my experience is that staff members focus on each teammate individually and separately. No one feels left out or left behind. I always appreciate how the staff members treat the teammates as adults and talk and interact with them with dignity and respect. The teammates are the highlight of my days there. To have them feel so open and comfortable around me to share their feelings, thoughts and emotions has helped me. They have, and still, are teaching me the real meaning of living life to the fullest! Thank you all for making me feel like Im a part of the family!
