My impression of this business is that it is utterly and completely unprofessional, disorganized, and an unpleasant experience. I scheduled an appointment for a simple oil change, which in turn took them over 2 hours to complete. Upon my arrival employees were talking (casual conversation) amongst themselves, and playing on their phones while a line of customers stood waiting. This is the second and last time I have brought my car to this location for simple service and it has taken over 2 hours. It seems they have either slow workflow/turnover or they schedule too many mantienance request for the coverage they have. Not to mention, the complimentary snacks were demolished by their own employees leaving dry baskets for paying guest. Don't waste your time here, you can probably YouTube what's wrong with your car and fix it before kia Store East will even glance at it.
I purchased a 2022 Sorento Hybrid from Kia Store East in October of 2021. I had called a number of dealerships in a 3 hour radius and they were one of a few that were willing to sell at MSRP. We went with Kia Store East because they were a little closer and had the color of vehicle we were looking for. When I first talked to them I had called and said I lived 2 hours away and that understood a lot of dealerships were charging a market adjustment. I didn't want to waste anyone's time if they were charging over MSRP. She said they are charging a market adjustment but she wouldn't lose a sale over it. We made a deal for MSRP and we were happy with our experience. Not even a full year later we're in the market for a 2023 Seltos. I called many Kia dealerships and found that almost no one was willing to sell at MSRP and if they were we had to order and "wait 3-6 months". However, I called Kia Store East and I was pleased that the sales guy said they would sell the Seltos at MSRP! He asked if I could put a down payment on it today. I said I would be happy to but I would need a day to move money. He said he'd have to check with his manager and call me back. I thought it was a pretty simple yes on their part so I logged into my bank while I waited. About 30 minutes later he called back to say that they couldn't sell at MSRP since I was out of state. That if I purchased the Seltos there would be a $3,000 market adjustment. It was a really frustrating ordeal. I was upset with Kia Store East for telling me one thing and then going back on it. In fact, while I was waiting for them to call back I moved $3k in funds to my main bank to make the down payment the following day. Instead they are trying to charge me $3k over the Kia's suggested price. I ended up finding a dealership in Iowa that wasn't going to tack on an extra 8-12% to the cost of the vehicle. I am going to have a much longer drive but whatever. I know it's not just Kia but I'm really sick of dealing with most dealerships right now.
I had a great experience purchasing my new KIA K5. The staff was very helpful and friendly! Robert McAlmont was a great salesman he was very knowledgeable. I will be referring all my friends and family!!
When I called about a used car for my daughter in law, I was directed to Mr. Rucker, a salesman. He was very courteous and professional through the whole process. However, we noticed that the turn signal light was not working. The dealership management refused to acknowledge that there was a problem. We still decided to get the car thinking that the light bulb needed to be replaced. We replaced the bulb ($4) but it would not work. We figured out that it was not the bulb but the piece holding the bulb was defective. The bulb housing costs about $11 only. The dealership would have gotten 5 stars if they had done the right thing rather than lying.
