Been coming here for almost 3 years.. I highlighted my hair last time and it came out good. This time I decided to highlight my hair again and just kept being over charged for everything. & this is by the same person. Funny thing is my hair is shorter than the last time I was here and I was being charged $50 more.. Before proceeding with my highlight I showed a picture of how I want my hair and she of course said she could give me what I asked. Came out almost like a damn checker board. She insisted on curling my hair for free to cover it up. I said I'm not going to curl my hair everytime to cover up your mistake. She said okay I'll add color on the top.. really?!? Just the top. Even at that the whole time I was here I've sat and watched her cut 2 people's hair. Believe me I was pissed. I asked for the same color I came in with back... She said she's going to charge me $50 for coloring it back. I said no! You couldn't give me what I asked and I want my color back... I've been here for about 5 hours now. I'm irritated and I want to go home. She's massaging some ladies face at the moment and I'm about to wash my own damn hair. Pay for my haircut ONLY and leave... Last photo is what I asked for.. I'm only coming back because my son has his own barber and she does an amazing job.
Dont go here...they will rip you off! I have been going to this place for over 20 years so been happy with their services until now. I went in to get my hair blow dried and flat ironed. They normally charge me $20. I was shocked when they charged me $35! They said they would charge me $45 but since I am a good customer they will charge me $35. I paid the $35 but am still in shock from the highway robbery. I know prices are going up everywhere but this was exorbitant.
I hadn't been to Mr. McCutter's since my children were school age. I went back yesterday for myself only because the Supercuts that was next door had relocated without me knowing. I have long straight hair and just wanted a trim straight across. Pretty simple. The price list says $14.95 for a woman's cut. Within about a minute of the cut, I felt heat in my hair and commented on it. The employee told me she was just straightening the crimp in my hair from the ponytail holder I had been wearing so that my hair was even before she started cutting. I wondered why she couldn't just spray it with water but let her go on with the trim. About 7 minutes later, we were done. She handed me a bill for $28 (pre-tip, of course). I immediately reacted and asked her why $28. That's twice the listed price. "I straightened and combed your hair..." What? I told her I didn't request any straightening and, again, questioned why she wouldn't just spray water on the one crimp in my hair. She knew exactly what she was doing. It was a hustle to scam more money from the customer. I am positive it was not her first time. Pretty sleazy.
