I want to personally take this opportunity to respond to the issues you have raised while assuring you that we try to maintain the highest quality and customer service standards , as evidenced by our other reviews and countless satisfied customers . 1. With respect to your comment about being charged much higher than promised , we explained to you that we made an error in calculating the total tax amount and this was an oversight on our part. We brought this up once, and after you refused to pay this amount we did not bring it up again and ate this cost. 2. We understand your frustration re the sherwani ,and the confusion caused though we had delivered it and it was missing. We apologized and offered you another piece at no extra cost to you. 3. With respect to alterations --based on our experience, the alterations you were asking for would have resulted in violating a contract that we have with the designer. We are contractually not authorized to do major changes and deviations on the original piece and design. We tried to explain this to you multiple times, and apologize once again for the misunderstanding. We would like to assure you that we truly appreciate your business and depend on customers to survive during these tough times as presented by the multiyear pandemic. I really wanted to love this place as it's hard to find quality Indian clothes in the US and when you enter their store you see the selection and have some high hopes. They are great at luring you in with promises and smiles. You'll likely have an excellent first interaction, find some clothes you like and believe what they tell you. Please do not believe this. They will give you dates for the clothes arriving for fitting that will be wildly off from reality. When the clothes arrive they will not fit. Then they will send them back and this cycle will frustratingly continue. We built in so much buffer time before our event and barely got our clothes in time. Even then we had clothes that after multiple attempts they couldn't get right and then they told us we were on our own because they gave up making it right. We actually had to hire a separate tailor to fix them in an emergency because once they had our money for the clothes they didn't bother how long clothes took to arrive for trying and whether or not they fit. And our separate tailor was able to fix what they said was "impossible". To add more insult to injury, after our event they tried to collect more money from us claiming that we had underpaid. I've never seen a business run like this in my life and really hope you go elsewhere.

We are very busy on weekends and must have not had any trial rooms free to accommodate you and your family at that point . There seems to be a misunderstanding , as my colleague is one a well informed member of our team and has been with us a long time . He mentioned he mistakenly heard aquarium instead of planetarium , and so was misunderstood. We hope that you will visit again. Thanks Team Āve

Really disappointed with both experiences at AVE. The first time I walked in to look for Sherwanis for my husband the store associates were very rude to me and proceeded to ignore me and my sister for the 30 minutes we were there. I chalked it up to them being busy and us not having an appointment. The second time we made an appointment for my husband to look through their options - they paired him with a completely unknowledgeable associate who failed to ask even the most basic of questions. My husband is not Indian and this being his first experience trying on Indian clothes did not allay any of his anxiety. I purchased my own wedding lehnga from Falguni Shane from another store out of state so know the process of working with the designer - knowledge of which this associate was not able to provide. Shouldnt have expected much from someone who fails to understand the difference between a planetarium and an aquarium Dont waste your time at AVE if you wanted to be treated with patience and respect - we went across the street to Anita Dongre to salvage the day. Two stars just because they have a wide selection with great designers.

Feel very fortunate to have accidentally discovered this store. I stumbled on it while looking for getting clothes made for a wedding during the pandemic. The store has professional staff, wide variety of designer clothes, 1:1 dedicated service, responsive to orders and changes, and efficient delivery. It is now my go to store.

Their selection is very good, but their execution and customer service is where they are lacking completely. The week before my wedding, they lost my outfit and claimed that my family took it -- security camera footage became involved and my entire family (and bride) went through several days of sleepless nights and stress. On top of this, my now wife's reception dress was horribly tailored/altered to the point where we needed to take it to a non Indian tailor where we spent a lot of money to get it properly fixed (Ave altered it once and then said it was the best they could do). Unless you want to stress and constantly follow-up, go somewhere else.
