If you want a stress free move- DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They are condescending and unreliable. My moving company used them as the third party for disassembly at our old home and assembly in our new home. Both experiences were negative and it looks like all their other reviews are negative as well (except for one, which I bet they wrote themselves). Their employees did not complete the work at either location and lied about the condition our items arrived in. We have moved several times and have never had such a negative experience as we did with this company. They did not take accountability for any of the damage they caused. We have had items crated before and never broken as bad as we have seen during this move. Please take all these reviews into account before hiring them. Hopefully they go out of business before they ruin someone elses moving experience.
I have worked with CMS for ten years and it's been a wonderful partnership. They have been totally reliable and stepped up when I needed a quick response. I recommend CMS highly.
The Custom Moverrs Services team was exceptional in every way. Their customer service was top notch and kept me informed of every step along the way from scheduling through the actual work through the final invoice. The team was professional, competent, and efficient as they worked to assist me. They also asked for feedback and were in constant contact. They seem to be a company that cares about the quality of their work and the experience of their customers. Highly recommend them!
I have a baby grand piano that needed to be moved with my household items. Colonial Van Lines which is also terrible, sourced out the piano to them, who then sourced the job to Uncle Johns. $1080 and he didnt even come with any help. He expected the movers to help him lift and disassemble the piano. As soon as he saw the piano, he looked up the model number on you tube to see what he had to do. He was inexperienced, but CMS said he would be. He was going to try and do it himself. Before I could say anything, he lifted the top and part of the piano fell on the floor. I left out to tell my movers. When I can back, the hood was off, my wall was broken, and my piano was damaged. I then go in and tell him to stop and that he damaged my near perfect Yamaha. He said he didnt and he wasnt going to pay for it and left. The job was incomplete, CMS wasnt suppose to charge me until the job was completed. Colonial Van Lines could not reach the company at all the day of the move. My movers are gone, headed to where I am moving, and my now broken piano is partly on the floor and still in the home by itself. I have to meet my movers 1500 miles away. Piano has to be out by 5/31. Doubt that will happen. I will sue CMS & Colonial Van Lines for the cost of my piano!
