Spent some time here on a Saturday afternoon. Bummed to only give 3 stars. Love the building. Enjoyed the spirits but did not feel very welcome when we arrived or as we stayed and drank at the bar. We have visited many distilleries, breweries and wineries the past few years and have found that our favorite part of those visits are the people. Friendly faces that make us feel welcomed and appreciated along with some banter and personal interactions are what win our hearts and keep us coming back. Im chalking it up to being busy, but even busy places can smile and say a few niceties every now and then. Nowadays some places are struggling to have enough staff, so the workers are often exhausted. That could be the case here so we will come back again and keep sharing our smiles and upbeat attitudes. Everyone deserves a second or third chance. You all are so close to having a 5-star review since you have the awesome building, convenient location, variety of spirits, cocktail bar and bright, open frontage. Add-in some smiles, friendly banter and sprinkle in some comments about your backstory or your journey and you get a new review. And lots of recommendations from some friendly locals.

These people are why Iowa is such a great place to live. Making and giving away hand sanitise (and sandwiches) during this pandemic shows what great people own/run this place. I attached a photo of their free drive-up operation. Support this place when life returns to some normalcy.

Great place for some delicious cocktails. Very excited for their newest whiskey releases. Everything about The Foundry is exceptional, the staff, the product, and the home grown local story. They always seem to have a free tasting or tours of their facility available, Id highly recommend either.

Wow! Cocktails were on point. Very unique cocktails and also some of your old favorites. I had an old fashioned with Surly Furious Whisky and my lady friend had and Aqua Fresca. We will definitely be back.

Fantastic range of drinks. Bartenders were fantastic all evening and the drinks were exquisite! Our bartender Will made the best whiskey sours I can remember. Will be back next weekend with more friends for another great evening out!
