Terribly sorry to hear about your experience. We moved to this new 6,750 sq foot location 6 weeks ago and are still trying to settle into this huge space (now the largest children's only shoe store in America). I hope it will ease your mind that Coggins staff is led by my extraordinary manager, Joy, who has been with Coggins for 17 years. I'm David, the third generation owner of Coggins and I've been measuring and fitting children's shoes for over 30 years. Unfortunately, you must have hit us on a off day. A waste of time. Not much variety for toddler boys and the staff did not seem very knowledgeable about sizing children's feet.

I have vivid childhood memories of Coggins balloons too and I'm the 59 year old owner! My grandfather would be delighted to know this tradition is still going on. Thank you for the post, it made me smile.

I absolutely LOVED my experience at this store! A super friendly employee greeted us when we entered and measured my daughters feet and gave us recommendations. I loved how the store had the shoes organized by size, super convenient and easy. We were in and out in 45 minutes and got a pair my daughter LOVES!

I understand your frustration. February is a huge inventory transition month from fall/winter to spring/summer. Most of the darker and traditional styles for fall/winter have been sold, and spring sneakers and sandals are dominated by white and bright colors. Covid related bottlenecks have also delayed much of our spring deliveries as well. National brands make up 96% of our selection, with StrideRite dominating the selection in infant sizes. We carry between 11,000 to 14,000 pairs on our sales floor and try to cover all as many bases as we can to accommodate different preferences. I'm truly sorry you felt you wasted your time.

Drove over an hour and didn't buy a single thing. Shoes looked cheap or bright colored. Nothing that I expected at all. Also, felt like we were being watched the whole time. Very limited on toddler girls 4-5. Some of the shoes looked like a 3 year old designed them.
