This is literally the most infuriating company I've ever had a Flex Spending account through. There is no rhyme or reason for which transactions you have to provide receipts for. I had two doctors visits with MU Health Care within a week of each other. The first one required no documentation and the second required a copy of the receipt to be uploaded, mind you the copay was the exact same amount. Then, sometimes your doctor will give you a receipt and you upload it only for it to be denied. You then have to go back to your doctor and ask them for another form of receipt. It's ridiculous when the first receipt literally outlines the date, services rendered and the cost of service. I have had Flex Spending accounts through other employers and literally, unless I had an unusual situation I never had these issues. How hard is it to look at a transaction and see the doctor's office name and that the only amount paid is the exact same amount as their copay? It literally isn't rocket science, customers shouldn't have to do ASIFlex's job for them!
Terrible service. Our hospital sold out and changed names, so asiflex wasnt going to pay or approve since the charge from KRMC HOSPITAL and payment was going to now: LOGAN HEALTH. Its like pulling teeth to get access to your own money on other occasions. Wouldnt recommend in anyway.
If you want to offer the FSA flex card for your employees, I'd suggest a different company. I had a doctor's receipt for a co-pay and they don't like what the doctor's office gave me so they put all of my 2020 benefits on hold. Granted the deductions have already been WITHDRAWN from my paycheck. I now have a medical emergency and am not able to use my card. I'm not able to get my prescription for a serious infection over a $12 receipt they won't accept. I drove to the doctor, denied a visit because the card won't work. I called ASI they will NOT accept an email of the new paperwork but they'll take a fax and possibly be able to work the case in the next 2-3 days. I have an appointment with a specialist tomorrow and I'm sure I'll be denied again. I begged for them to make my funds available and the response "No not without that new receipt." I asked for a manager, Christy the customer service representative refused to transfer me. Please don't put your employees through this. It's a medical nightmare. I will no longer enroll in this benefit next enrollment period. I have reported the incidents to my HR hoping they will shop for a new vendor and dump ASIFlex
