We are hosting an exchange student with CETUSA for the first time this year and we have nothing but great things to say about the organization and our coordinator, Jenna Fisher. She really cares about the students and the families. Any time we need to communicate with her, she is very responsive and caring. Every month, the organization plans events for the students and the families. I highly recommend them.
The staff puts the needs of the children first. 24/7 Student Support and higher guidelines than required is what makes Cetusa stand out from all other exchange organizations!
We hosted briefly with CETUSA. There seemed to be poor communication within the company amongst the employees. The coordinator did not communicate with us effectively and when we had a problem with our student, the coordinator and her supervisor became very defensive and the supervisor even yelled at me. When I talked to upper management, they acknowledged that their staff handled our situation poorly. It seems like there is not adequate training, and that the intention is to place as many students as possible so that the coordinators can increase their salary. I don't have a problem with this, except that we did not get adequate support and our student told us she only received one text message from the coordinator during her time with us. My advice is to research other exchange programs, there are better, more organized programs. I would recommend avoiding the coordinator Jenna Fisher and her supervisor Mayah Bischoff. I am not an angry person posting to give the company a negative review, but rather trying to let others know that they should seriously consider hosting with a different company. This company has had serious violations, including sanctions from the US department of state, it is worth learning more about if you want to host with them. Also,it appears Tiffany Summers is a coordinator who works with CETUSA. This company is shady, be careful.
