Andrew, I am sorry for the delay in getting you an answer regarding your defective pair of sandals. Birkenstock requires that we submit photos for their review before any claims are settled. We sent those photos the day you returned your sandals and are waiting for their response. We have followed up by phone 3 times in the last week and were told they are working on it and will get back to us as soon as possible. It is always our policy to honor the manufactures warranty for all products we sell. Unfortunately the labor environment has created shortages for most of our vendors and we are seeing delays like this throughout the industry. I will call again today and express our need to get an answer at once. Again, we apologize for your situation.

I have spent a lot of money here, but no more! Beware this store will not stand behind their products like REI or Geigers. Both of which have no questions asked return policies for defective products. I bought a pair of Birkenstocks that broke within two weeks. They said they would see what they could do with the Birkenstock. I should have just bought them on Amazon. Very disappointing! If you are looking for a local place that will treat you right go to Geigers.
No price tags on clothing. In the spring I went to buy a sweater marked on sale by a sign, the girl checking out actually pulled out a BOOK of barcodes like it was 1981 - found the sweater and informed me it was an old sign and Id have to pay full price. I put the sweater back. Also found a Kavu rope bag selling for $60 and passed it by. Later found the same rope bag for $45 and on sale for $35 at Duluth Trading Co. Maybe okay for when a trip to REI isnt reasonable but I like Appalachian Outfitters in Peninsula better.
