I was eager to have Hunger Crush open as I am a fanatic for diner/comfort food and have been disappointed for years as the magnolia café in Montgomery has fallen down.. A few things of note. At dinner time it is hard to even determine the place is open due to the West facing windows, but it is open. Second, the place is clean with a nice lay out and fresh décor. The service was not bad, he was polite, but lacked knowledge of the food and left the check on the table after the 3rd bite. The food felt like I was eating at a Dennys or iHop. The hamburger taste like a cooked frozen patty and lacked flavor and the onion rings were definitely frozen and absorbed the oil and were bland. My wife had a salad and had similar comments that the food lacked flavor. It was a little disappointing that breakfast is not available all the time. The menu has a little bit of everything but more food in hind sight you heat and not prepare fresh. If the food is fresh then add some seasoning. It was a disappoint since the owners own the treehouse café on 1488 and we enjoy that breakfast. My first impression was the restaurant was not created for quality but for franchising as they had options like frequent diners club and some more mature restaurant offerings. Now the menu was still the soft open version so it may get better.

This place is over priced and most the food is frozen like chicken fried steak and their hamburgers don't waste your money. Quit because kept getting blamed for the kitchens mistakes over and over again. Hire people who can read English would be nice. If you want frozen food eat here.

My wife, daughter, and I visited while we were last in town. We ate breakfast and it was great! The staff were friendly, and it had a great atmosphere. If you can provide a breakfast that my wife likes, then you are doing something great!
