Books are limited. Looked for books from Rachel Hannah and had none. Looked for Kristin Hannah and there were a couple of old ones. Doesn't seem to be ordering many books, will be forced to go to amazon. So disappointed
Malgorzata, we are sorry to hear that these disruptions impacted your experience at the library. We recognize and acknowledge the need of those in our community who require quiet spaces to study or work. We offer, for example, a silent study room, three (new!) group study rooms, and tables and chairs by the south windows in Adult Services to provide a tranquil refuge. Sometimes it may be difficult to maintain 100% silence, as public libraries, like ours, these days have transformed from strictly silent sanctuaries to bustling destinations for active, engaging, creative, and social interactions and experiences. Nevertheless, we will endeavor to provide as noiseless an environment in our designated quiet areas as possible. If you are ever in need of assistance, ask any library staff and they will be happy to accommodate you. Thank you for using the Elk Grove Village Public Library and for sharing your thoughts with us.

This library is great in that it has a lot of resources, books, movies, games, etc. But whatever happened to SILENCE at a library. Everyone is loud, on their phones or talking loudly to one another. I come to the library to study in silence & to be away from distractions, yet that is all but impossible here. Even the staff talks loudly to each other & the patrons. And practically slams the books on the selves when re-shelving them. If you want to talk on the phone or loudly to each other, go to a coffee shop, not a library. Let people who actually want to study be able to do so. Not to mention the so-called tutor that spent most of the time talking to a younger boy about inappropriate topics.
the staff do not care about people reading or studying. extremely loud place! it is impossible to concentrate, when they talk loudly to each other, and laughing! extremely unprofessional and rude people
