Customer wrote initial review on our FB page, which was removed after our initial response to her complaint; the review is now back on Google. The item purchased was a discounted, sale garment, off the rack, as a pre-made item, during a sale at her sorority house; customer had the opportunity to look at it, and try it on before purchasing. We do not make the actual apparel; only imprint and decorate it; our manufacturers make hundreds of thousands of shirts each year, and they are not all perfect in the eyes of every customer. This item appeared to have been worn and washed as well, when it was brought back to the store, and a refund was requested. Customer indicates having called several times, but we did not see her number on a caller ID, nor did she leave a message. Front door is seldom locked, but while we are in the back of the shop during production, it occasionally is, so nobody can enter without us knowing. A sign is left in the window, so anyone who wants to come in and shop, can simply call, and we will gladly let them in. We have been providing product for this customers sorority for 24 years, and are not aware of the "MANY" problems, she vaguely references. All of our customers are college age fraternity and sorority members, and we do not take advantage of any of them, but we will also not be bullied by any customer, who is rude, and chooses to slander our company, which has been in business for a quarter century. She is welcome to visit the other Greek Store in town if she is unhappy with her buying decision or option. She was pleasant when we spoke in person, but the rude and extremely skewed review is unacceptable.

BUYER BEWARE. I purchased a sweatshirt from this business at a sorority house event. I put it on for the first time and it was noticeably sewn wrong in the back, making it crooked. The hem was off about 2 inches. I tried to go to the place of business in Lexington Kentucky to return it and ended up making 4 trips to the store and called numerous times to pin the owner down. He posts hours, doesn't abide by them, and when he is there he has the doors locked so nobody can come in. I had to call the store and have him come unlock the door for me. When we started discussing the sweatshirt, he told me there was simply nothing he could do. He said that was a manufacturing issue and that he didn't make the shirts. He also said that they are supposed to examine every item before selling it but this one didn't get examined, admitting it was his fault. He continued to repeat that there was simply nothing he could do, recomended a seamstress across town to fix the hem, and it would probably cost about $10. I have never heard of a retail outlet blaming defective merchandise on the manufacturer. It is not my problem that you are getting defective shirts and selling them as quality merchandise. And then not to take any resonsibility for the mistake is unbelievable. This "company" will not stand behind their product. After this deal and hearing MANY of my friends have problems with him too, I will NEVER be coming near American Greek ever again. Seems like he enjoys taking advantage of his customers, especially sorority girls. The only reason I rated this business 1 star is because you can't go any lower. They deserve a negative 5! BEWARE!!!
