I've been here many times and I usually enjoy this bookstore. I can understand requirig masks and limiting capacity before all their requirements were lifted, but they still require masks for anyone ages 3 and up. They were also rather rude to my little children who were standing at the door waiting for me to get there. I had a face covering but they didnt. It's a pretty good place to find used books, but I would just rather go elsewhere. Somewhere where they're not requiring masks and are a little kinder in their approach about it. They can require whatever they want, and I don't have to support it.
This is a great addition to downtown Rogers. They have thousands of books sorted by author and genre so they are easy to find. Prices are fantastic. And it all goes to support the city library.
I have loved the Friendly Bookstore and have been visiting for years. I was so excited for their new larger location. On our first visit there, volunteer Melanie snapped at me for my children being in the children's section without me. They were acting perfectly. Quietly looking at books one at a time. Fine if that's your rule (which I didn't see posted anywhere) but you could just say it kindly. She was really aggressive in her approach and just so rude. I was in again today and she was being hateful about an older woman's service dog. Such a shame. I understand everyone is a volunteer but if you aren't happy doing it maybe you just shouldn't anymore. Both my visits at the new location have really been the opposite of "Friendly". I'm sad. This used to be mine and my children's favorite bookstore , sad how one person can really ruin a good thing.
