I am sorry to hear about the issues you had in our office. Much of your experiences are inconsistent with how Id like my office to conduct itself. As for what you overheard, Im truly dismayed to hear that. We have zero tolerance for that type of language or thinking in this office, and i will most certainly be addressing this with our entire staff. I would like to personally offer my apologies. Overall not a great experience visiting them. The dr was professional but I heard race-related comments during my visit and I didnt feel good about. The receptionists are always on their wheels that they didnt make everything smooth for me - so theres weird cost for trials - it was supposed to be covered by my insurance but they doubled the cost and left a portion out-of-pocket for me; I was supposed to get two of my trials but they only gave me 1 and when I call them the receptionist said shell call me when my trials arrived but i didnt get a notice until I called again and ask for it; I tried to make my order for contacts after the trials but didnt get their response at all. TLDR-too much work for me, always chasing after them.
Worst experience of my life! Do not ask questions! It will prompt the Optometrist, Mike Heard to become extremely aggressive, unprofessional and argumentative. Also, the information I had to beg out of him was wrong after I got a second opinion from another eye place right after that horrible experience. I am now in better hands and will be getting full service from another eye office. Do not come here unless you want to deal with rude staff.
This is a great office. I've seen both Drs. Ward and Vanhorn. They're friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Desk staff is also great. I've also purchased probably five pairs of glasses from them and they came in on time and were well adjusted. Definitely recommend, especially over one of the chain shops.
Great office. I've seen both Dr. VanHorn and Dr. Ward and the appointments were super on-time and thorough. Anytime I've called, the phones were answered promptly.
The Dr's & staff are really great - very nice and personable. The optical side of this practice left me really disappointed though after botching a pair of lenses, twice. I get that some frames are harder than others; the problem was how they handled communication. Instead of keeping me informed, they told me glasses were "ready for pickup" twice, and when I came in, the lenses were completely wobbly and misfit to the frame. Altogether, that's several hours of commute and parking for something that wasn't right. The worst part was the failed recovery. When I spoke with the Optical Manager, I got a defensive, half-hearted apology, but no customer recovery.
