Super disappointed I thought the bruised brigade looked super cool, I had a good time at the rollout I attended, even though it was kind of unorganized and we didnt take the route that we were supposed to. They had a pair of hardly used skates for sale on their Instagram story, I hadnt roller skated yet (still havent) so when I saw this great deal on a pair of skates I knew it was my opportunity. I claimed the skates, and was told theyd be shipped to me. Weeks went by and I never heard anything. I messaged the shop on their Instagram page and was left on read. I messaged again and was told they would get back to me. I had to message a third time at which point I was told that because of a change at the shop my skates were sold to someone else. So not only did they not ship my skates right away, they also didnt keep any record at all that I had bought them. If I hadnt messaged them multiple times they never would have noticed or refunded me. Not to mention the weeks wasted thinking I was going to receive skates that I couldve spent looking for a better deal elsewhere, which is what you should probably do instead of buying from them. I would not buy anything online or preorder from them since they cant be trusted to keep track of your order or your money.

I just keep hearing more and more sketchy things about the owner, Bettie. Please look into this before supporting them because it is really concerning.

Same story as in other reviews. Purchased plates on December 23rd and left skates to be mounted. Never happened. Way too much effort and messaging on my end to rectify situation. I was able to recover my skates, but was never refunded for purchase of plates I never saw. At least I was only robbed $120 instead of $500. Ive never experienced a small business blow off customers. Skate business must be huge in Rochester if you dont need return customers and can afford negative reviews even after being called out on Sure Grips Instagram for bad business practices.
