"I've been in business as a sole proprietor since 2002. I only learned about SBDC in 2020 when faced with business shut down due to COVID-19. I wish I would have known about this amazing no cost resource from the start of my business! They were invaluable to me, shepherding me through the process of a PPP loan and EIDL loan to keep me afloat. I will certainly continue to use their services!"

I have been working with the Santa Cruz Small Business Development Center for close to half a year and find their services very helpful. I received one on one guidance from a Business Counselor and it has been a great way to establish a process and timeline around my business goals. I attended 3 group online classes from professionals at the center, all of which gave me insight around marketing, branding, leasing, privacy and security as well as all around good business practices in the Santa Cruz area. I recommend the center to anyone starting a business, or even just interested in learning more about the steps required to start a business.
