Hi Doug, We serenely apologize for the delays on getting your cap. Sadly at this point in time many manufacturers are having trouble getting products out the door quickly with staff shortages and material delays. This is in no means an excuse for us not keeping you informed through the process as we should have done a better job staying on top of this order.

I'm giving them one star, because you can't give zero stars. I placed an order for a Ranch truck cap, and paid a cash deposit. I needed the cap in 8 weeks, which I was assured would happen. 5 days later they call me and tell me that Ranch doesn't make a cap for my truck, but Century does, but $400 more. I agreed to that. 6 weeks later I called, no status on the cap. Next week I'm told it won't be built for another 6 weeks. This was less than 2 weeks before a cross country trip, which is why I needed a cap. They offered to return my deposit. 2 weeks later, no deposit has been returned. This was a disaster customer experience. If I didn't keep calling, I'd still be in the dark. I'd suggest taking your business elsewhere.

Karl, I am so sorry for this. That certainly is not the Yankee Custom way! We have spoken with the employees in the Portland store and I know our manager Troy tried reaching out to you with the number we have one file. This issue has been handled, and we would love to touch base and see if there is another way we can help you! Once again I apologize that you did not have a 5 star experience.

Guy behind the counter has a major attitude problem, their prices are the highest around (local or online) and their in house selection consists of bare walls and "we can order it" methods. I called ahead and was put on hold twice before being hung up on. Decided to just drive over and pick up the items in person. I waited while the guy behind the counter finished his personal conversation with his buddy. I asked for pricing on a trailer hitch for my SUV. He immediately said he didn't stock them and it would take a week to get one. I said I still wanted a price and when I told him the year of my truck he stated "I wont even have my guy touch that because its probably all rotted out". I corrected him that my truck has NO RUST and I didn't want them touching it, I just wanted a price! He quoted me $30 higher than any other company of which I could get it from faster so I moved onto the next part. Said I wanted aftermarket towing mirrors with built in power. He looks in his book and without showing me any pictures throws the book back under the deck and says "YUP $750!" I was floored and didn't even know what to say so he gives me a dirty look and says "why are you looking at me like that" you wanted the entire side mirrors and that's the price. I told him the factory GM OEM side mirrors don't cost that much and he said oh well and looked past me towards the next person in line to indicate he was done dealing with me. This is the second time I have tried to do business here and both times had the same outcome. I have no idea how they stay in business with their lack of service, selection and high prices!

I ordered a Ranch fiberglass truck cap that had a leaky front window. The guys at Yankee Custom tried to repair the water leak but found the window cut out was too big. The cap had to go back to Ranch who has had my cap for 2 months now with no ETA on delivery. At this point Im hoping I can get a refund. My advicedont buy Ranch. UPDATE: Yankee Custom came through for me by refunding me for the truck cap from Ranch. I appreciate that kind of customer service and wanted to make sure it was mentioned in this review.

Went into Yankee for a quote on a few things this morning there was a customer ahead of me.. man behind the desk was extremely rude and the other man was loud and talking on his phone.. the store smells terrible and everything is dusty.. I use to enjoy spending money here but it's gone to hell now..
