I do hope someone from NAM responds to this since they have responded to positive reviews, but I've yet to see them address a negative review. NAM prides itself for helping the needy in a dignified manner but ignoring negative reviews indicates they don't truly understand what that means. Resale shop - 5 Food pantry - 4 Trying to get an appointment for assistance during the last week or first two weeks of a month when rent assistance is needed? - 0 stars! I called got through the line on 4th attempt at 9:01AM today. Four hours later, I'm still on hold despite the fact that at least three times, I've been taken off hold long enough to hear office noise and then put right back into the queue. I've waited an hour through their lunch hour in hope of getting someone to answer. I fail to believe that they are so incredibly busy and understaffed that no one could answer my call within the first 1.5 hours of being put on hold. Unfortunately, I'm one of those with limited minutes on my phone service plan so I can't keep doing this every day. And I JUST was disconnected at 1:01PM. So having to call back in again. While I appreciate that they are there to help, I can't help but wonder if this is what the various churches had in mind when they established NAM.

The CEO Les is a AWESOME guy but I volunteered in 3 depts @ NAM & was treated badly. When I went to the director Karen Weekly, she retaliated on me & made ME the bad guy! They DON'T value their volunteers! Find another non-profit that will appreciate you!

I am so thankful for this place. I was literally about to be put out of my apartment with my 3 kids cause I couldnt pay rent. This place really gave me and my kids a second chance and Im really so thankful and forever grateful for what they have done for us. Also everyone that I had contact with was so nice and helpful! God bless all of them like seriously:)

I was so relieved to be chosen for rental assistance about 3 weeks ago i thought my worry could stop since i am Pregent but i have-not heard anything and am scared i will be evicted please does anyone know help i need it
