I have been connected and committed to DOROT Westchester for 15 years, almost since its beginning in Westchester, and from the start it has been a meaningful and enriching experience. I have watched the growth of outreach to our isolated senior citizens and have seen the positive impact DOROT's programs and ititiatives have on those seniors. As a Friendly Visitor, Shabbat Shalom and Package Devlivery volunteer, and active Committee member, my experiences with all involved with DOROT have been excellent and personally rewarding. Volunteer with DOROT Westchester or allow us to provide services to you or your loved one. You will be happy you did!

I have been volunteering for Dorot Westchester for several years, both as a Friendly Visitor for the same senior and for occasional one time package delivery events. Dorot does wonderful work in Westchester. Their volunteer orientation and follow up is excellent. I recommend them highly if you are looking to be a resource to Westchester seniors in need of socialization.

My son has had a terrific experience meeting weekly to play chess with seniors in our community. He is an avid chess player but you don't have to been to attend. It's an easy way for the participants to connect. Plus sometimes they even beat him! DK

Being a DOROT participant is an extremely rewarding experience. I have met many older adults who have enriched my life in ways I would not have expected. It's a small investment of time for such a huge return.
