NEVER answer their phones, I've been on hold two separate times for over half an hour each time. The first time someone picked up my call only to hang up without even answering. To say I was frustrated was an understatement. Either hire more staff, or train them to actually answer the phone and do their jobs. When you call you dont even have the option to directly ask someone for assistance, you have to back channel in order to talk to anyone but an automated message.
I really dislike Dakota county. Everything, but mostly there workers for assistance are rude and don't get back to your calls or emails. But can decide to cancel your assistance without telling you a good reason or even explaining why they are canceling it. I've been waiting 5 days for my worker to explain to me why she is canceling my assistance and she won't even call me or even acknowledge that I am trying to reach out to her.
We went here at 10 oclock this morning to get a replacement birth certificate. It was the most quick and painless interaction at a government office we have ever had! They take cash or check or money order but no visa And they give change so you dont have to have exact change! Very friendly customer service! Love this place! We were in and out of there within five minutes!
I dont give one star reviews easily but I was very tempted. This building is a shinning example of government waste. Can you get what you need here quickly with a friendly person? Unfortunately, NO is the answer that I would give. There are countless empty rooms and hallways and an entryway that rivals the highest end hotels. When you do get to the department that you need its the same attitude and treatment as the DMV.
