Racist volunteer. Staff refusal to assign a new volunteer after myself and professional third party witness reported discrimination. Find volunteers who are familiar with "inner city" families. Volunteer, stated that she was uncomfortable returning children home due to family's local school district. Volunteer reported suspected mental instability to professionals after Mom tried to discuss why she was offended via email. Same volunteer also screamed at Mom in court stating she was the reason the mother's kids were returned. Less narcissists. More compassion. Update: volunteered removed

I have volunteered with CASA since 2015 and highly recommend this if you want to try to make a difference in the life of a neglected or abused child. The staff will bend over backwards to help you, and you'll never find a volunteer experience that is more rewarding.
