Rental assistance process: schedule an eligibility appointment when you are behind on rent (availability is generally 2-3 months out if you're able to snag an available spot, appointments are limited, oppco csr advice is always to refresh the website each morning hoping to snag an appointment). When you finally speak to a csr for your approval/denial eligibility appointment, you must still be behind to recieve assistance. If you can find a landlord that will let you be behind on rent for 3-4 months without evicting you, please let me know.

They have helped my client for years now. They always are on their game with getting things right except this last time. While talking to the person they said to make sure to get shut off notices or notice to pay late payments or be shut off with power, and water. Ok this is the first time they have mentioned water which yes she needs help with. So she didn't pay water or power so she could ketch up on other bills. When she got the award letter it didn't have any vouchers for the water bill. So now it's not paying peter to pay Paul situation. Unfortunately there wasn't anything they could do to help because they have helped so many people which is ok with me. It was an innocent mix-up that is understandable. If you need help with the financial stuff, they are very helpful in trying to help you with. Things that you may need to pay for rent for instance, and they have a program for people for energy assistance also.
